Kaveh is frantically pacing back and forth at the apartment's main entrance as he waits for a package to arrive. He desperately needed a new drawing table, and he finally had a chance to order one one month ago. Luckily, there weren't any crazy catastrophes he had to redesign buildings for. Though it just made his stress and anxiety get worse. But it also put a significant dent in his finances as paying rent and loans killed him. Luckily, he knows how to survive off of cheap ramen for an entire month despite now getting sick of ramen.
“Come on, where is it… the mail tracker said my package would arrive today at 2:30, and it's already 2:37… relax… I'm sure there's a reason for such a late package.” Kaveh tries to reassure himself that everything is fine. But he's not that good at convincing himself yet. As he continues to pace, he starts to mess with the ends of his hair out of bad habit.

The heel of Violet's boots tapped a rhythm on the stone making up the sidewalk as the mail carrier made her daily rounds for deliveries, Gil the Rockruff following faithfully at her side. The town was lively as ever, and with every greeting sent her way, Violet offered silent nods.
Now, usually, she would wave, but today her hands were full with carrying a large package on her shoulder, her hands positioned on it to keep it from falling down. Since she had her enhanced strength, as well as the natural endurance and strength of her prosthetics, Violet didn't even feel the slightest bit of the weight of what she was holding, despite it's rather bulky size.
Since there was a mishap at the post office this morning, several packages had been delayed as both Violet herself and her co-workers had to work on containing and fixing the problem. Considering how everyone else at the office acted, someone was going to get some very strongly worded warnings about properly packaging volatile magical items.
After it had all been handled, Violet had made her way around town as quickly as she could to deliver the delayed packages. Fortunately, everyone was understanding, and overall, the packages were only a few minutes to an hour late.
The package she was handling at the moment was Violet's last delivery, as her co-workers had warned her that rushing around to catch up on the delay would only make her exhausted, and that they could handle the rest after this final package.
While Violet herself didn't mind the work, she understood where they were coming from, so she had gracefully accepted defeat. As Violet paused in front of the door to the apartment building, she tilted her head in thought as she tried to figure out her latest problem.
Just how was she getting the door open without putting the package down? Gil sat by her side and barked at the door, aiming to catch the attention of someone inside.

As Kaveh’s mind flooded with doubts and worry, ‘Oh, what if I got scammed again! And I wasted 1,600 dollars for nothing!’ Kaveh’s mind raced as he paced impatiently, old but favorite tennis shoes squeaking against the tile floor of the main apartment entrance.
Then, as if it were an alarm clock pulling him from a dream or, in this case, a nightmare, he hears the barking of something outside. He snaps back to reality and sees out the door of Lunavilles many mail carriers holding massive packages on their shoulder. He completely forgot about his package worries and quickly scrambled to the door.
“Oh my god! I’m so sorry!” Kaveh calls out from the other side of the door and quickly opens the entrance to the apartment building. ‘How can I be so blind and not notice her carry my stupid package! Oh I hate this.’ Kaveh thought to himself as he felt guilty for not noticing her sooner. But he did feel a bit of joy seeing how cute the Rockruff was. If he had the funds he would go to James’ shelter and adopt a Pokémon and an animal. But sadly that wasn’t in his cards. But he looks back to the package thinking the least he can do is help her if she needed.
“Oh do you need a hand with that? That probably isnt very good for your shoulder.” Kaveh putting any thought of worry for his work behind and making sure she was ok.

Upon hearing someone calling out apologies from the other side of the door, Gil paused in his barking and sat calmly at his owner's feet, panting happily with his tail wagging. Gil often had to do this in case people were too busy or distracted to realize that Violet had arrived with their mail and packages, so he knew what to do every time.
"Good boy." Violet said, giving her Rockruff a small smile as she patiently waited for the door to open, recognizing who it was. Kaveh was someone she often saw around town during her rounds, inspecting architecture and talking business with several business owners and even the mayor herself, Pauline. Considering the sheer amount of chaos and destruction that occurs in Lunaville, Violet supposed it was only natural for an architect to be quite busy.
"Good afternoon." Violet nodded in greeting before shaking her head at Kaveh asking if she needed help. "No, I'm quite alright but thank you. I have a package for Mr. Kaveh Den-Alcea, and I believe you're him?" She asked. Considering how quick he was to come and open the doors, it was likely he was waiting for the package in the foyer of the building.

Kaveh then gets a better look at the mail carrier and sees it, Violet. He remembers seeing her around town, mainly in city hall, bringing any papers or packages to Pauline or one of the many other people who work there. She always seems lonely and distant. But he never had a proper chance to talk to her or any of the other mail carriers as he is always so busy with his work.
He then looks back, seeing she does have his package. He smiles excitedly to have his new drawing drafting table. “Alright, if you’re sure. But yes, that’s me! Oh, thank you for bringing it. You’re a lifesaver!” Kaveh was just relieved to have it finally. He then takes out his wallet. The least he can do is give this girl a nice tip, even though he only has 5 dollars left.
‘She definitely deserves more then just a 5 dollar bill as a tip. But I can make it easier on her an getting the package to my apartment up myself, it's just one flight of stairs… with no elevator… but I got this I have some… body strength.’ Kaveh thought to himself as he takes out the five dollar bill to give to the girl. “Here at least take this for your troubles and as a thank you.” Kaveh smiles holding out the money to her, “And don't worry about helping my package upstairs I got it.” Kaveh smiles confidentially on being able to do it.

After Kaveh confirmed that he was indeed himself, Violet nodded and briefly let go of the package with one hand, keeping it firmly balanced on her shoulder as she rummaged through her coat pocket, before pulling out the work tablet and stylus provided to the mail carriers.
While she knew it was Kaveh, and he himself confirmed it, it was important to get the signature of the customer, for the sake of the paperwork. "Then, I'll need you give your signature here to show the package was safely delivered and to it's proper recipient." Violet explained, her expression never changing.
She shook her head at Kaveh, politely refusing the tip. "I appreciate it, but you should save it for if you need it. I'm sure something will be broken soon...again." The woman said, as Gil quietly watched the interaction. "And are you certain about handling the package? I have no problem bringing it up to your apartment." She added.
It was genuinely no problem, considering she didn't feel the weight of it at all, while Kaveh...Violet knew by looking at him that he wouldn't be able to handle the weight for long...or at all, really.

Kaveh sees her take out her work tablet and stylus and quickly sees he needs to sign for the package. “Oh of course, of course.” Kaveh smiles, he places his wallet under his armpit to hold and starts to quickly put his signature on there and hands back the tablet to her.
He was just more relieved to have it safely here. He moves to get out the money for her again only to have her shoot him down on that idea. It did hurt a little bit he sighed as he can’t just force people to take money so he returns his thin wallet to his back pocket. But he did feel a twinge of annoyance when she says something something will be broken soon a little vain popping out the side of his head in irritation. ‘Ok what was that suppose to mean. I mean sure I might not be the strongest person in lunaville but I can handle things I mean I completely moved in here without help I’m sure I can handle one kinda big box.’ Kaveh a bit more determined to show he has this.
“Oh I’m sure I can handle it. So don’t worry. Besides it’s only one flight of stairs so it’s not that concerning.” Kaveh’s smiles reassuring the girl that he’ll be fine and trying to also pump himself mentally for the physical challenge that is about on its way.
“So you can go ahead and set it down and I’ll take it from here.” Kaveh smiles try to stay optimistic on being able to do this himself.

"Thank you." Violet said, taking the tablet and it's stylus, and returning it to her pocket. She genuinely appreciated Kaveh's attemps to give her a tip, but in Lunavill,e it was better for him to save his money where he could, since everything often ended up being broken...intentionally or not.
Violet still vividly remembered the sheer amount of destruction and construction bills she's had to deliver to City Hall. It's definitely something when you see several clerks about to burst into tears upon recognizing what was being delivered. And she's pretty sure she saw Pauline pull out an entire bottle of alcohol once or twice.
With Kaveh's persistence about being able to handle bringing his package up himself, Violet simply nodded. "Very well, then. Please be careful, though, as it is quite heavy." Nonchalantly putting it down, Violet didn't even blink when just lightly setting the package down (lightly by her own standards) made it give a massive thump.
The sheer sound of it made Gil jump a bit, before walking over to sniff at the package curiously. It was clearly heavy, big and clunky...one of the worst combos of things to carry.

Kaveh is now a little more intimidated by the package just by the sheer sound of it hitting the floor. He won’t like he was having second on trying to get this up himself. ‘Maybe I shouldn’t have splurged on the head duty one with a built in pencil case and electric pencil sharpener…’ Kaveh thought to himself as he knew in was a major financial decision on getting this replacement. But he needed one so bad for two reasons, working at a regular desk has murdered his back, and his old one literally fell apart on him after living here.
This stress kinda reminded him when he came to see Pauline, Fred and Obelix about a new design for one of the many many… MANY buildings that were destroyed, and he saw Pauline cry drunk… it was really concerning and he doesn’t remember if he ever did propose that design but was more worried about Pauline’s mental well being at that moment. But he sighs and looks move to get ready to move the package. “Thanks, will do.” Kaveh gives her a reassuring smile before in his phrase, attempt. To push the package to the stairs entrance. It was kinda sad sight to watch this 26 year struggle this hard. Luckily it became less pitiful as it finally start to move, slow but steady.
“It’s ok, I have it under control. You can just head on out.” Kaveh said trying to sound confident but his obvious red face says other wise. And pants a bit when he finally got the package to the stairs entrance. ‘I… should really hit the gym again… and maybe have real food instead of instant ramen and cereal…’ Kaveh thought to himself as he tries to steady his breathing. Even though he has a thin frame he his stamina was extremely lacking, honestly his doctor would be very concerned with the difficulty he just had.

Silently watching Kaveh struggle to just get the package to then stairs in the entryway, Violet shared a glance with Gil before she walked over to pick up the package once more, though only on one side of it. "Mr. Kaveh, pushing yourself will only likely injure you and make it so that you have to go to the hospital, which I'm sure we would all want to avoid." Violet explained, patiently waiting for him to pick up the other end. "Let me help you with bringing the package up. I have the time to spare." Plus, the next time she wandered near the hospital with deliveries for the workers and patients, perhaps she could discreetly bring up her concern for Kaveh's health and physical state. While it was definitely heavy, the package should not have taken so much effort on his part to move.
'Then again,' Violet thought, 'perhaps I'm overestimating most people's physical strength.' It wouldn't be the first time it had happened, overall. Of course, it never quite occurred to Violet that her super strength just wasn't something everyone possessed. And it really wouldn't be too much of a problem, considering she also lived in the same building and her co-workers said they would clock her out if she sent them a text.
Just then, the janitor for the building, as well as the manager's wife, Tohru Kobayashi came by, carrying some cleaning supplies before pausing at the sight of the two. She had been on her way to return the supplies to the closet after her daily routine of cleaning, though this was a rare sight for her.
"Oh, Violet-san! You're back from your shift early." Tohru greeted as she walked over, earning a nod from the mail carrier. "Miss Tohru, good afternoon. I'm just helping Mr. Kaveh with his package, then I'll be heading to my apartment with Gil." Violet explained.
"I didn't realized you two knew each other." Tohru said, looking at Kaveh curiously. Violet didn't often spend time more then necessary with people outside of her friends, so it was only natural to be curious, in the dragon shifter's opinion.

After a pitiful attempt to push this package, Kaveh notices Violet picking up the parcel on one end. He sighs. Seeing she is right about going himself wasn't good, but acknowledging when he needs help and asking for it has always been a struggle. He knows there is no issue in asking for help. He hates wasting other people's time with his silly problems.
“Are you sure I don't want to take up any of your time?” Kaveh wanted to make sure it was alright. “The last thing I want is to waste your time over something this trivial.”
But seeing how she was already lifting the other end of the package, he moved to lift the other end when he heard a familiar voice. He turns and sees the ever-so-kind and cheerful janitor of the building, Tohru. He smiled at her and was shocked to hear Violet lives in the same building. ‘Oh my god, you're making her do work in her apartment building!? What is wrong with me!!!’ Kaveh’s mind yells at him with embarrassment real fast.
How could he not know she and him live in the same apartment building?.. Then again, most of the time, it's work work work for him, so not noticing who your neighbors are is bound to happen. The only neighbor he knows is Law, as they have run across each other as he has seen him very exhausted from working at a hospital and helped him with his groceries despite being exhausted. Which now that he was thinking of it, glad Law didn’t see that poor site of him moving the box.
But still, it was a bit of a shock not to know this info about Violet. “Wait, you one of my neighbors?” Kaveh is a bit shocked. And he looks to the apartment Janitor.
“Well, this is honestly our first real conversation. And first time realizing she's my neighbor…” Kaveh explains to Tohur that this is the pair's first time having a conversation, let alone meeting properly for the first time. “She was bringing a package I ordered and is giving time to help me bring it up.” and he starts to lift the package up and it was easier with some help but his weak arms were slightly wiggling.

Violet shook her head. "It really is no trouble. And the more time you spend asking me that, the longer it'll take." She pointed out. While to Kaveh, Violet might sound overly blunt and possibly mean, she genuinely just saw no point in beating around the bush and just got straight to the heart of the matter. Not that she wasn't blunt, Violet was well aware of her personality not making her a lot of friends. Some of the people back home in Rito Village had sometimes said that she had gotten the bluntness from her father, who despite squawking in offense, did not disagree. Both her father and Violet were of the firm opinion of not beating around the bush if it's possible, so she had kept this philosophy for some time. Violet nodded in response to Kaveh's question about her living here. "Yes, for some years now. I don't blame you for not noticing, I'm often out very early and gone throughout the day." She explained, it was completely possible for them to avoid meeting each other in the building if they had completely different schedules. "Ah, I see..." Tohru said, looking at the package and frowning in concern at how Kaveh's arms were shaking, even with Violet's help lifting it. Tohru was well aware of Violet's enhanced strength, and carrying this package should have be no problem whatsoever...unless Kaveh insisted on carrying it up himself.
'Honestly...' Tohru thought, 'that does sound like him to a T.'
"Kaveh, Violet can handle bringing the package up, I've seen her lift bigger and heavier things without blinking an eye." Tohru pointed out, setting down the cleaning supplies on a nearby counter.

Kaveh was taken aback her bluntness on getting on with it. Although he did find it a bit rude, he knew she was right about getting on with it. Some would say his a bit to concerned for everyone else’s needs then his own, he knows his a people pleaser and that he needs to stop putting others before himself. It’s just hard to break a habit you’ve been doing for a lot of his life.
So many people in Lunaville know of his people pleasing habits. His been told multiple times that it’s ok to put his wants and needs ahead of others. But Kaveh still struggles to just say no if someone ask him something, he just can’t say no. Like over summer he ran into Harley and she said she needed help with hiding something, he really wanted to say no so badly but he couldn’t… ‘luckily helping Harley didn't lead to anything illegal…’ Kaveh thought to himself as he was thinking back to that time and focuses back on what’s going on.
“You’re right sorry.” Kaveh apologizing for his pestering. He tries to settle his shaking noddle arms. Kaveh was just mentally swearing at himself and telling himself his got this! But he last focus on that when he hears Violet point out that they’ve been neighbors for years.
‘YEARS?! She’s been my neighbor for years… ok Kaveh chill! She just said she gets out early and that she doesn’t blame you for not noticing! But at least now you could give her a thank you gift… maybe a drawing? Then again that might be too cheap… gaaah I need a project to get money soon!’ Kaveh’s mind screams in his head trying to spew out ideas for a thank you gift to his neighbor.
He then looks over to Tohru who clearly knows his a bit of stubborn when it comes to accepting help. And he can see the concern in her eyes as his shaky arms are… still shaking… and hearing how she’s seen Violet lift heavier items then this did sound amazing. ‘I guess it is obvious she has super strength. But I’m determined to at least try and help get the package to my apartment… That’s only fair!’ Kaveh thought to himself, so he gives Tohru a reassuring smile.
“I understand, Tohru but I got it.” Kaveh trying to reassuring her his gonna be fine. “Don’t worry…my arms are just shaking from, excitement! Yeah! Go new drawing drafting table.” Kaveh trying so hard to pass this off as normal, even though this is his form of normal…
“Alright to the stairs Violet!” Kaveh trying to get back to the task at hand while his arms are still able to hold his end. 'Quickly before my stamina decides to take vacation...'

Violet quietly watched as several thoughts ran through Kaveh's head, clear as day on his expression. She briefly wondered if she should point out how easy he was to read, but decided against it. Most people got offended when she mentioned that sort of stuff.
Of course, Violet's silent observation of people tended to weird them out if someone noticed, but that wasn't often, because Violet didn't spend too much of her time observing people, focusing on getting her work done most days. Speaking of which...they should really get a move on with getting the package up to Kaveh's apartment, so she can text her co-workers to clock her out.
"If you're sure..." Tohru replied, looking hesitant. She understood wanting to handle things yourself, but at the same time...Kaveh definitely shouldn't push himself too much, especially with such a heavy package. Maybe she'd have the phone ready to call the hospital, just in case.
Nodding in agreement, Violet began walking towards the stairs, easily moving even while working together with Kaveh to carry the package. Not that Kaveh noticed, but he surprisingly got the lighter end of the package....though that didn't seem to be helping much.

As they headed up the stairs, Kaveh kept telling himself ‘that it isn't that bad, it isn't that bad’ over and over in his head as they went up the stairs. He looks up and can see they're almost on his floor. A part of him felt so relieved once they could set it down, he could push it right to his door and get it inside.
Then, all he had to do was set it up himself. He couldn’t help but be excited about his new drafting table and get back to work and off hiatus. Just a few more steps and he almost wanted to collapse as they reached the floor finally, but he tried his best not to show his complete exhaustion.
“Thanks for… all your help Violet. But I got it…. From here.” Kaveh said in between breaths as he laid his end on the hallway floor of his apartment. Luckily for him, the hallways are short, and it shouldn’t take long to get down to his small but functional apartment. And now that he was thinking of it, he could figure a way to thank Violet as he got the package to his place and set it up.
‘Maybe you could thank Violet with some food since she won’t accept money? You are a pretty decent cook. Or maybe take her out for drinks, rather it’s alcohol or coffee or whatever she likes. YEAH! That’s a better idea to treat her to a night out. Get to know her more. She is your neighbor, after all it’s only polite to thank someone who helped you.’ Kaveh thought to himself as his breathing finally settled. He was also doing a few quick stretches in hopes of pushing it better on his own than he did earlier when Violet witnessed that pitiful attempt earlier.
