It was getting tired getting up all the streets and all the stairs towards the entrance of the academy. He followed the directions from people and sentient creatures who were confused by how this young man was expressing. Either way, they helped him to be in the path to the whole structure he was going on.
”oh man, oh man….” The boy said as he managed to touch the metallic door that keeps the main entrance away from his reach. “are they going to attack me once I open this gate? Am I going to be captured to be in a dungeon to serve as a guardian beast? Are they going to flay me until be a trophy?”
The boy looked again at the gate. And he kicked it with a tiny kick from his left leg… moments later, he Can be seen touching his left leg as the kick damaged it. Crying waterfalls in fetal position.
“No… it’s more sturdy than I thought. But then…how I am going to be inside? Is this a kind of test to see if one is capable to enter?” The boy kept saying it while he crossed his arms trying to think in a way to get inside without alarming the owner of it. He had enough by been in a castle uninvited…yet the king has honor and he let him go…but new place means new rules and perhaps new ways to screw it up. And overall, Dearie is not around to support him.
“Oh man, what I am going to do now? Is this thing has a bell or something call the owner?” Looking around for anything like a switch or a chain to pull. “Is okay if I get inside by just jumping the wall? But I going to be seen as a criminal if I do it…but there in force myself in. If someone sees me, I’ll give them an explanation after crossing the fence”
You can imagine the boy making a great effort in grab the ledge of the stone bricked wall to climb up, to later jump inside the perimeter. With a scared face all the time about going to be attacked, trapped, scowled or haunted the moment he crosses the other side.

Kotori sipped at her cup of coffee as she walked up the steps to the academy. Most of her morning had been spent walking around town, at the behest of her fellow librarian, to get to know the town and see what places she would be interested in going to visit later on. She had felt slightly guiltily about leaving her coworker by herself, but it likely was a quiet morning for her, so Kotori did her best not to worry too much about it.
The town was just so lovely and full of so many different people! It was honestly amazing just how diverse the town was with all the different species and obvious personalities. Not to mention how most of them were all polite or nice, it was refreshing! Kotori was honestly so glad she applied to the school since it meant getting to spend time in this wonderful town and do work she loved.
Still, it was going to take some time for her to really get used to everything, especially with how the library layout was. It was honestly amazing how large the school's library was, and every time she stepped inside, Kotori always had to take a moment to recognize how lucky she was to be able work inside of it.
She honestly had wanted to spend some more time exploring the town, but she had felt that she been gone long enough. Kotori couldn't just wander around while her coworker was alone. It wasn't fair to her, and honestly, Kotori was a bit tired already from what little she had done.
The librarian paused upon reaching the top of the steps, seeing a peculiar sight. After all, it wasn't everyday you see a young boy attempting to climb over the stone fence leading around the school up to the school gate. But after she realized just what she was seeing, Kotori gasped and rushed over, spilling her coffee in her dash.
"Young man, what do you think you're doing?! Get down from there, that's dangerous!" She exclaimed, forgetting in her worry that yelling probably wasn't the best thing to do with a teenager obviously trying to sneak in.

Sure, the ledge and the fence was in the right position and the boy was getting over it little by little. He has his thoughts about what do to once he get at the other side of the wall, perhaps he might to see if there are traps around. Like that time he was checking a huge dungeon but filled with traps each step he was going. Even deadly ones or stupid ones. Either way, he moved on another. The boy was ready to get his whole body over the fence ready to jump…kinda… still not sure how to land over his human legs. It was a complete mystery how humans can resist without armor the falling of certain heights. He was going to jump until heard the yelling behind him. At the moment, he got paralyzed and by trying to get in balance he couldn’t but lost his balance and land at the other side by face. “Ow! My face…” he migh said while caressing his human face, until remember the one who yelled at him. He looked behind by seen a girl at the other side. He was going to ask politely about the situation but, she looked so cute but it could be a trap from a sorceress. And his reaction was hide next a bush trying to not be observed… pathetically saying. His back and his arms were discovered by his feeble attempt, however.

Kotori winced and gasped in worry when she saw the young man fall down, obviously startled by her shouting. Oh, she didn't even think about that! Stupid, stupid! Oh, if that poor boy broke anything because of the fall, she'd never be able to forgive herself!
Rushing over to the gate to peer inside, she sighed in relief upon seeing the boy relatively unharmed. He'd likely have some aches in his face for a time, and likely a bruise or two, but it didn't seem like he broke anything. Kotori blinked in confusion, though, when he blushed and ducked to hide in a bush...rather poorly. She could see his back and arms.
Pulling out her staff key for the gate from her bag, Kotori unlocked it and stepped through, softly closing it behind her. If she let it close normally, the loud sound would definitely scare the poor thing. It seemed he was very skittish.
Slowly walking over to the bush and crouching down to be eye-level with the teenager if he looked at her, the older woman smiled and called out. "Excuse me, young man? Are you alright? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." After she gets him to calm down and come out, Kotori would scold him for doing something so reckless. But for now, as the adult, making sure he was safe was her top priority.

The boy might feel as a complete idiot the moment the girl picked from her things the key that opens the gate, surely that would be more handy than getting over the fence and try to get inside the building terrains, to have the courage in continue his way towards the door. However, he would notice the girl close the door quietly. Perhaps to not be startled by the loud noise. Well, at least, there is someone who might comprehend him.
Nevertheless, he knew he would be shouted by his actions the moment he abandon the security of the bush. The words of the lady shall be mentioned towards him. He didn’t know what to say. Perhaps a little explanation about but… ”Em…i am Okay…but i am not sure how humans will be able to not fall over their legs…” he rather ruined it by saying something else based in his situation “em. Pardon me. Didn’t meant to say that out loud… i mean, You are a good old lady, didn’t say you are that old…sorry didn’t want to say it…” he kept speaking by trying to find the correct words towards his situation.
“Oh man, at this rate I will never have a house to own” he might say that loud than keeping it in whispers. Also reacting at this, “ah! No no…i am not homeless, I am trying to find my place in the world but without proper help I will never be able to protect it from those heroes who keep ransacking dungeons and dens where monsters use to live.” He looked on the woman again. “Are you a hero?
Depending of her answer, he will try to leave the place by climbing again the fence or just sigh in relief. But he is trying to find that negative aspect. After all, the woman before him looks quite nice and humble. Yet, he remained distrustful despite the appearance.

Kotori...honestly didn't know what to make of any of the words this kid had said. Well, she was definitely worried for his well-being, at the very least. The poor thing was so flustered he kept tripping over his words, likely blurting out things he didn't meant to at all, and to be honest, Kotori could definitely relate to that.
Every single time someone caught her lost in thought or daydreaming, she would get so flustered she'd trip over her words in circles until someone eventually got tired or annoyed and interrupted her. Of course, it felt awful every time someone did that, so Kotori didn't stop the boy from continuing, letting him naturally stop.
She pouted over a certain word though, though. Old? 24 was not old at all! Well, maybe to a teen, it was...but compared to a fair amount of the adults in both the town and school, she was young! Kotori didn't have a single wrinkle yet!
But the boy seemed to have simple enough intentions. Get a house, and work towards helping monsters plagued by well-meaning but ignorant magic-users or trained professionals who had grudges. Of course, there were a fair amount of genuinely cruel and malicious adventurers out there, from what she had read on the subject, but they weren't necessarily the norm. And given the human bit earlier...the young man in front of her was likely a magical creature with the power to transform into a human or he had a magical item that let him do it. No wonder the poor thing was so skittish.
Kotori shook her head in response to his question. "I'm no hero or adventure, sweetie. Just a normal old librarian for this school. I'm Kotori." She said, getting up but holding out a hand to help him up, smiling gently at him. "What's your name?"
If this boy didn't really understand how humans worked, Kotori supposed she'd have to help him learn.

The boy sighed in relief as he managed to dodge such bullet from his trippy words he was starting to mention on the rush, she was not an adventurer and that puts some peace in the head of the boy who coughed a few times but by the dust he swallowed by falling earlier. But nothing serious to be ill worried about. As the woman spoke about other topic, the boy was quite calmer than before.
“Um…well, my name is Letty…” the boy spoke his name while holding his arms like trying to cover for the chill cold when there is nothing like it passing by right now. “And…i am a…dra….a dra….” He gulped a few times before tell it. “A dragon”. He flinched by put his arms and hands open like trying to stop whatever it might be thrown at him. Yet, he put he crossed his arms again with a clumsy smile.
”Ehehe…sorry… you say you are not hero…didn’t want to do it…” the boy kept talking yet his sweat drop was so big, it can be seen over the head as a kind of balloon dancing while he moves his head as jello. “Em. Is there any hero inside the place right there?” He asked. He is not going to escape over the fence. He rather would use a catapult instead. “Em i am Okay with them, but some tend to be so…well… how’s the word Dearie said? Obsessive for victory? No, that’s not the word…um…” he might be there thinking in the word.
”Oh sorry again. Em. Want to say something?” The boy said while smiling clumsily towards her.

Kotori frowned worriedly as the boy, Letty, stuttered and stumbled his way through his sentences, obviously nervous and unsure of how she'd react. Oh, the poor thing must have had some real bad experiences before coming to Lunaville. All her worried thoughts, however, screeched to a halt upon hearing Letty reveal what he was.
...A dragon? A real, authentic dragon? Fire-breathing, flying, known for hoarding gold and being one of the strongest magical creatures to exist? THAT dragon?! Oh dear. Kotori immediately felt faint, and so desperately wished she could just faint...but the impression that would leave on the poor boy! Not to mention, the sheer panic of a member of the school's staff just suddenly fainting in daylight! Oh no, what sort of rumors would spread?!
No, no! Kotori shook her head to regain her mental balance, taking deep breaths to calm down and think rationally. This boy just revealed something he was clearly hesitant to share with her, and judging by his flinch immediately after, he was expecting to be attacked. That realization made her shock stop in it's tracks.
Now, Kotori liked to think of herself as open-minded and forgiving, but seeing this poor child flinch away and cover his head instinctively...Oh, it made her so angry. Not at Letty, though, no. The kid had done nothing wrong. But the people who had caused him to be so afraid...Kotori honestly had never wanted to hurt another human being this way. How DARE they make this child so scared, so fearful of revealing his magical nature to anyone?!
It was lucky that Mirajane wasn't around to see this, or otherwise, the shapeshifter might have demanded names and descriptions of Letty's tormentors and immediately gone to the police. Her coworker was a mother, and as such, fiercely protective of children. Kotori thinks she might understand that feeling now, too.
Taking another deep breath to calm down, Kotori smiled kindly at Letty, who had rambled on while she had been distracted by her anger. Fortunately, she had been able to hear him talking while lost in thought, and didn't have to ask him to repeat himself.
"No, there are no heroes here, Letty. And even if there were and they were mean ones, I promise I would keep you safe." Kotori said, gently petting Letty's hair. "Thank you for sharing what you really are with me, I'm sure it must have been scary. You were very brave to tell me." She wanted this child to know and understand that he was safe here. That she would keep him safe.

Letty might have a lot of trouble trying to find the right moment to tell at the ones who own the academy an explanation about the whole thing he had been dealing with back in Yggdrasil, surely he might found his,elf safe in a new place. And by how the woman was saying by keeping him safe from the meanies and those who do harm, he might be graceful for that. He will clap his hands feeling relief from the whole thing he had to deal with.
Yet, seems he didn’t asked Dearie how to return back to his dragon form. If the elf might be around, he might sneeze while saying to himself “oh, I forgot to tell Letty in clap his hands hard to return back to his dragon form”.
And like it was one of those jokes Magic nature likes to perform, when Letty claps his hands and ready thanks the woman for that good words. His body was covered in a blinding light and then a column of smoke appeared. The boy with spiked hair, red shirt and green shirt leggings was no more but, in his place, was a big 8 foot tall dragon with red scales all over the back, immense peach scales on the front, giant horns reaching almost the skies, folded big wings behind connecting his rather medium arms, a large tail, standing over his big clawed back feet, and round piercing green eyes. Sharp fangs and two small pieces over his head resembling as ears.
By appearance, the woman might faint on sudden by see the immense dragon right there. Feeling that threatening aura coming from all dragons. However, as soon as this happened. Letty grabbed her and shakes her to let her recover her breath, then Letty used part of the academy structure to hide and keep his profile, lamely, low. With the girl still in his frontal claws.
“Sorry for scaring you, didn’t meant to” Letty might say it afraid for triggering something on her. “Oh man! I didn’t meant to make you scared of me! I am sorry!!”
If something might be new, might be the fact, this immense dragon was crying like a baby while saying multiple times sorry about the impression he just gave. Even, after put the woman in a safe place, he was crying. Covering his face by using the immense wings he has as put both frontal claws over his eyes to stop the tears.

Kotori smiled as Letty clapped, obviously happy to have someone not be angry at him for what he was. She might have to have...words with the principal about insuring the safety of not only this student, but any other similar students at the academy. If the people who tormented Letty came sniffing around, she didn't want any of the children getting hurt.
But then there was that sudden burst of light, and puff of smoke, and instead of hair....she could feel scales under her hand. Which was definitely higher then she just had it. …Oh dear.
She...wasn't entirely sure what happened after that, to be honest. The combined surprise and shock, along with that sudden...intimidating aura left her feeling faint, and she could feel her knees buckle a little. But the second she started sliding down to the ground, Kotori felt clawed hands gently wrap around her and shake her mildly, helping a bit with keeping her grounded.
Oh god there was just an entire massive dragon child at the entrance of the school, and he just suddenly transformed from his human form. Oh this wasn't good. Kotori, despite her panic, recognized that Letty had moved them to hide slightly by the structure of the gate, which was smart. They didn't want to suddenly surprise or startle anyone else.
She immediately snapped out of her shock once Letty set her down, and promptly burst into tears, practically curling into a ball as he hid his face with his hands and wrapped his wings around himself. Kotori could practically feel her heart breaking at sight.
"Oh, Letty! I-it's okay, you didn't scare me, sweetie! It was just a surprise, that's all! A big surprise!" Kotori assured, gently placing a hand on part of his arm she could reach and rubbing comfortingly. "I'm alright, and I'm not scared, I promise."
Well. Kotori thought to herself. Never thought I'd see the day I'd pretty much adopt a crybaby dragon child but here it is.

Letty was confused by the sudden thing the woman was doing on the moment he transformed back into his true form. Perhaps he didn't meant to. Yet the kindness of the woman in front of him made him little by little be on peace. Still with great tears falling from his eyes. "Sorry again! I didn't meant to worry you...Oh man! I am so pathetic!"
Letty might say it a bit loud as well, he wasn't really thinking very well in the choice of words about it. Practically, he was trying to get habituated of the sudden thing that he didn't wanted to moved quickly in the sudden. His plan was going step by step...until that step faced the floor in that poor attempt in escape from the danger he assumed in be once again. Surely, Letty was confused by seeing some dwarves around the corners of the streets, having fear if they find out he is an immense dragon ready to pound over the coins and precious stones, thing the dragon boy ain't interested to hoard like the average dragon. However, always looked as a menace wherever he moves around. He might found himself in a new place with many sentient creatures and humans sharing their lives and their resources among themselves like that time he tried to win some money to buy a house, after his baby dragon tooth was used to make a house for him...yet, he needed to share it with monsters to become a dungeon...something about winning more about the profit heroes might encounter inside. Letty had to leave that immense house he really admired since it got crowded by the next days...and the monsters called him the destroyer of lands and future conqueror of Yggdrasil. Thing Letty thought it was all wrong. All he wanted is a place to live.
And when the theme about money was mentioned. He remembered a slight thing... he didn't know if he has the money or a valuable item to offer as payment to become a student inside the academy...he might think no one is going to ask about it. So, he had to keep that topic silenced. It is not like this academy is running off budget by the immense colors and materials around the same.
"Em...can I ask...? Where is this Isabelle person...? I was instructed to find her...? Him...? What exactly is an Isabelle?" Of course, Letty was ready to proceed his own travel but some information didn't hurt to ask.

Kotori frowned as the dragon continued to cry, though it had definitely had calmed down from the rivers it was before, and how he degraded himself like that. Poor boy seemed to have some bad self-esteem issues. She'd have to get him to stop that.
"Now listen here, young man! You are not pathetic! You are obviously in a stressful situation, and from what I understand, all people have done to you is scare or hurt you! You don't have to apologize for crying! Crying is a natural reaction to a lot of things!" Kotori said, sternly pointing a finger in the dragon's face. "Now, I want you to stop talking badly about yourself and apologize to yourself!"
It wasn't going to be as simple as her telling him to, but Kotori really hoped she could help Letty this way, even if just a little. It was obvious that a child would only really come to the school if they were hoping to get in, or knew someone inside. Judging by how skittish Letty was, it was likely the former. Whether it be for the actual school part, or for safety, she couldn't be sure.
She'd have to talk to the principal later on, and determine how exactly to handle this. But speaking of said woman...
"I'm sorry, but Principal Isabelle is busy at the moment. I'm not sure when she'll be able to see you, but for now, I can help you get some food, something to drink and a nice bed to sleep in. How does that sound?" Kotori said, smiling. Whenever she was upset or scared, her parents always did that for her, and they stayed by her side until she fell asleep.
Maybe, it could help Letty, too. One could only hope.

Letty would be scowled by the small woman as she was a more dominant one, he couldn't but bow in embarrassment as it looks so weird a human girl is saying to a big dragon to calm down and apologize to himself about the whole thing that he had done on the moment. He might gulp before put his hands back again by praying as apologizing to himself. It was quite a scene, if someone is nearby to take a look or rather, take a picture to see this weird and unique scenario taking place right now in the academy's entrance.
"Um...I am sorry for calling myself pathetic. Em...I am more worth than I think..." he whispered that to himself. To be honest, Letty was a bit more better for saying those courage words to himself. Quite impressed how the human managed to do it. He might imagine she casted some spell on him to become much braver...yet that might be not the idea...
When he heard about taking care...he couldn't but reject the idea.
"No, Ma'am. I am not sure it is a good idea. I am dragon...and I don't know how to return back into my human illusion form, I cannot ask you for hospitality...I mean it is very noble and kind-heart of you to allow me live with, but I am not so sure if that might turn your dwelling into ruins considering my size." Letty might say his points, after all, he is an actually big dragon. "Besides, I am not sure in saying this...but I feel kinda ashamed by seeing others take care of me. But I lack of hunting skills to prey for bunnies, stags or even a lonely owl when I was seeking home in the tundra zone. Neither I am capable to fish anything... Even I cannot fly!! Oh man!! I don't know why I said I am pathetic...I must be the most stupid dragon in the entire history of dragons. [...]" and he continued saying other things based in his life in Yggdrasil and other things that might not be asked but he said them anyways.

Kotori nodded in approval at Letty's self-apology. It was a start, and one she would keep encouraging as long as she could. This child needed all the help he could get for his self-esteem.
…But it wouldn't help if the boy kept insulting himself this way! Honestly, just what kind of dragons raised this child?! Kotori wanted to hunt them down and give them a piece of her mind for how clear it was to see how negatively Letty viewed himself! Kotori took a deep breath to calm herself, though, as poor Letty rambled on. Don't shout at the timid dragon child, inner peace...
"Letty." Kotori stated firmly, making it clear she was to be listened to and not interrupted in her tone. "This school is specifically designed for the safety, comfort and education of all species, both mundane and magical. You are not being a burden by letting us help you. Regardless of what you can and cannot do, you are a young boy who has clearly never encountered any person willing to help you, or if they did help, it was very rare. Your only responsibility would be to study and learn what you want. This school is welcome to all students, and that includes dragons that cannot hunt or fly."
It was rare that she got stern with someone, Kotori usually preferred to keep things light-hearted or let someone come to an understanding on their own, but she believed Letty needed to hear this. This boy needed someone to look at him and honestly tell him, 'you are not stupid, pathetic or useless.'
"Now, you are going to stop insulting yourself, make another apology to the you who is trying his best, and you are going to follow me to the cafeteria where the cooks will give you a meal, and then I am going to bring you to a bed where you can sleep and not worry for a few hours. Understand?" Kotori questioned sternly, daring the dragon to refuse a second time.
If Mirajane can make a student stop in their tracks and question talking back when she wanted them to take care of themselves, Kotori could too.

Of course, Letty had to redo the apologies to himself once more as the stern voice of the woman before him asked to do it once again. The dragon just prayed once again but keep repeating ‘I am a good dragon, I am not pathetic, useless or stupid’ over and over again. He had some experiences under his own but this seems quite unique as odd too. He might observe the woman behind while keep praying and apologizing to himself. Perhaps it would be clever not involve his clan into this, he doesn’t know what those chaotic and much stronger dragons might do to someone like the woman before her.
He might listen to the cooks, the service about the academy and the whole spectrum he didn’t know about as he was more thinking in the first place he used to visit. A large temple like dungeon with enough traps to make all adventurers inside die in horrible ways or never visit that place ever again. He was lucky his body can withstand the falling damage. But he was not happy about the whole trap dungeon thing. He wanted a house not a death sentence place. Letty sighed once more while looked the academy once more.
“Um, how are you going to make someone like me fit throughout that door?” Pointing the obvious door that might be useful for a half sized monster like a Minotaur or an average human. But compared to his height, Letty was way bigger…unless there is a more bigger one around… “Well…I can give it a try. But are you sure about it? I don’t want to bother no one inside…” he might asked about the studies she referred. “And what are the matters to study? Do you need my ID graph for this?” Taking off a medium sized ID card, yet trying to not show it by knowing his features that graph has.
