I admit, this was something I was discussing with Wing last night on DeviantART, but it got me thinking about Belle's private library and what kind of books she might be interested in, like real-life books as an example. However, when I got to the Fairytale portion of her library, it got me thinking: there's only a handful of fairytales we can use in this RP, considering we're already using characters based off Snow White, Rapunzel, Cinderella,The Snow Queen, Beauty and the Beast, and the Frog Prince. Wing mentioned to me that she thought some fairytales wouldn't exist in the RP, unless in the case of Cinderella - there's only some versions outside of Disney's version existing(considering Wing's using Cinderella as a human face-claim for Isabelle or with the Frog Prince, the original version.
But what do you guys think? Also, if anyone has any ideas for books Belle might be interested in, let me know!
Belle's Current Library:
- The Princess Bride by William Goldman - Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare - Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson - Little Women by Louisa May Allcot - A Little Princess by Francis Hodgson Burnett - The Secret Garden by Francis Hodgson Burnett

Honestly, it was just something I thought about out of sheer boredom and got pretty curious about the different kinds of fairytales in SOM.

Which is an interesting thought, considering we do have a fair bit of fairytale characters in the RP.

Frozen has very little in common with The Snow Queen other than they have a royal woman who control over snow and ice, a human girl, and boyfriend.
Granted their have being many animated adaptations of the Snow Queen, including a Russian film from the 50s and an anime adaptation.
Wikipedia has a whole list of fairytales, though you're going to have skim through to ones that haven't had an animated adaptation.
I'm currently going through books from my library that have folklore and fairytales from different cultures.

Slightly off-topic, RWBY has characters based off of fairytales, folklore, myths, and legends:
Ruby is an allusion to Red Riding Hood
Weiss is an allusion to Snow White
Blake is an allusion to Beauty and the Beast
Yang is an allusion to Goldie Locks and the Three Bears
Jaune D'Arc is an allusion to Joan of Arc.
Ren - based on what I heard is an allusion to Mulan, but I might be wrong. (double-checked last night and I was right. ^^)
Nora - is an allusion of Thor if I recall.
Ozpin is an allusion to the Wizard of Oz, though this one is more obvious given his green scheme and his name.
Salem - Wicked Witch of the West
It's not the same as to what I brought up about the use of Disney characters, but I'd thought it'd be fun to point out since we have team RWBY in the RP.

Oh, yeah, that's right! I kinda keep forgetting about the way RWBY's characters are designed. It's always such an interesting way to make characters, and practically limitless, too. There's a whole lot of those type of things to create a million different characters. ^^
