So, considering the fact that Akemi is the only Cafeteria Cook at the academy at the moment (and I'm honestly not sure how things work in handling a cafeteria or even how many can work at one) so I figured maybe she could have little helpers to help her cook and get everything ready for meals!
I was mainly inspired by Pokemon Cafe Mix, which I got on my phone a few days ago, and it's honestly very adorable and fun! And the little uniforms on the Pokemon are so cute~! So, little Pokemon Cafeteria helpers. XD
They would probably be mainly volunteer Pokemon or owned by the school and given something to do to keep them active, as well being able to interact with both staff and students daily.

Thanks, Tracy! ^^ I also thought of another way to have some of the student's pets involved as well! If a student doesn't just want to leave their pet in the dorms all day while they're at classes, the pets can help out in the Cafeteria if they want, as a volunteer. Of course, there would be some rules to follow and they would be fed and given exercise in the process, and it would give them social interaction as well. They would probably just help carry food and such, but I think it's still a nice little thing the school could have. ^^

Miguel's dog, Dante just seems like a regular dog and Korra's polar bear-dog Naga as well, and I haven't seen season 2 and 3 of Tangled to know if Cassandra's owl is as smart as Pascal and Maximus or just a regular owl. I know Anthy's pet monkey, Chu-Chu is has the same level of intelligence as Pascal and Maximus. Plus, there are health codes that are understandable as to why animals aren't allowed inside restaurants, grocery stores, and other places that sell food (with exception being service animals or other animal aid). Granted, this world has anthro-animals and people who shapeshift into animals or other creatures and so there are probably magical charms and rules that keep a restaurant sanitized and safe for consumers.

You raise some good points there, Pixar. Then again, the Pokemon Helpers themselves are helping Akemi cook, so the school likely has several spells and charms in place already to keep things safe and healthy for everyone involved. Though the pet sentience is the most important part, I will agree. So maybe most of the pets themselves wouldn't directly interact with the food, but they could help with other things.
