And now here's the staff members for the college!
After we update all the other lists, we'll be definitely be open for suggestions for more staff members for the college!
Staff
Dean Abigail Hardscrabble (Monsters University) - The headmistress at Grimoire Academy, and a demon. Can sprout wings and breath fire. Once a promising young woman who had managed to escape from her dangerous home country in order to come to Lunaville, Abigail is now the renowned headmistress of Lunaville’s very own college and it’s an occupation she bears with pride. Strict, no-nonsense and not afraid to point out a person’s shortcomings and/or failings, Abigail is infamous for being one of the hardest headmistresses in all of Lunavile history to please. While there are times she may be petty, she also believes in fairness and genuinely cares for her student’s safety, hence why she’s so harsh on troublemakers. She personally believes her fellow headmistresses could be more strict with their students, but Abigail understands that everyone has different methods for teaching and guiding others. Not interested in dating.
Tingyun (Honkai Star Rail) - A huli-jing who works as the secretary/assistant of Abigail Hardscrabble. Has the power to enhance other people’s own magic. Even among fox spirits and such, Tingyun has always been a bit different. Where most fox children get into mischief and causing trouble, Tingyun was always a sweet and polite one who excelled at diplomacy more than anyone else, even at such a tender age. In truth, when not working as college headmistress's secretary, Tingyun is the head of a trading branch that is heavily renowned, especially with the identity of it’s silver-tongued mistress remaining unknown. Above all else, Tingyun prefers calm and peaceful diplomatic solutions to all matters, but any being will bare their fangs and retaliate if cornered, and she is no exception. The college campus is her domain, the students her charges, and Tingyun has no qualms getting into a fight to defend the student’s bright futures. Pansexual.
Daniel Brunner (Dislyte) - Battle Combat/Research instructor at Grimoire Academy and a centaur. Can summon a bow and arrows made out of starlight magic. A retired adventurer and monster researched, Daniel initially struggled greatly as a teacher, but after taking a moment to rethink his approach and figuring out how to combine his adventuring and research knowledge to teaching, he became one of the top teachers in Grimoire Academy. Whether in or out of the classroom, Daniel has always meticulously answered every question the students had. Regardless of a student's performance or grade, Daniel offerf the greatest support and encouragement. Because of this, he is viewed highly by his students and many look up to him and aspire to be like him. Despite Daniel's gentle demeanor in front of his students, when it came to fighting intruders and monsters, he was a different man who was steadfast and merciless on attacking their weak spots. Demisexual.
“Baron” Humbert von Gikkingen (The Cat Returns) - A Counselor at Grimoire Academy. Cat anthro with no magic. A complete living definition of the word “gentleman”, Baron hails all the way from Germany, and will gladly recount his younger days to anyone willing to listen. Despite his prim and proper way of speech and acting, Baron is rather young, only a few years out of graduating out of college himself. Nevertheless, he’s highly intelligent and thinks with mature wisdom beyond his age, which helps greatly with the students at the college, especially those who are struggling for one reason or another. Humble, kind, and nearly unflappable, it’s no wonder nearly everyone on campus admires him, especially Haru Yoshioka, who he appears to be greatly fond of in return. Demisexual.
Nico Hirata (Call of the Night) - A Foreign Affairs Teacher for Grimoire Academy, who teaches the students about the current on-goings and status of other countries, both mundane and magical. A vampire with no magic. Nico is normally very level-headed and often typically showing traits that some teachers in shows have; She is very invested in topics surrounding romance, fond of alcohol, despises lewd topics, puts a great deal on "dignity", and is very prideful of her popularity. Although she claims otherwise, Nico has a violent side that's shown when she becomes highly upset and angry. While she doesn't enjoy fighting others and wants to avoid it, she is willing to do it if she has a reason to. Overall, Nico is a very friendly and supportive person who wants the best for the people around her, often encouraging her students to do their best to find their own happiness. Nico is also prone to being a little flirtatious with men around her age. Straight.
Kabura Honda (Call of the Night) - Head nurse at Grimoie Academy. A vampire and has the power to heal through blood. Once an ordinary human who was often hospitalized due to poor health, Kabura was turned into a vampire by Haru Nanakusa, the mother of Nazuna, in order to allow her a chance to actually enjoy life without worry. However, sometime after her transformation, Kabura was left alone to raise Nazuza due to Haru’s passing in childbirth. While heartbroken over the loss of her friend, Kabura has done her best to care for and raise Nazuna and keep her safe. Often giving off a gloomy aura, Kabura is known for having a highly serious attitude, being blunt, pulling no punches, and having a no-nonsense attitude when it comes to her job and ensuring the wellbeing of both the students and her charges. She can be friendly and teasing when it comes to those she’s close to, but Kabura usually tends to keep a bit of a difference between herself and others, not wanting to be hurt again. Bisexual.
Jinbe Gori (One Piece) - Self-Defense Teacher at Grimoire University. Fishman, trained in karate and has water magic. A fish-man of great pride and honor, Jinbe is polite, respectful and considerate of others and always does what he can to help them out. Despite his pride, Jinbe appears to put his priorities and principles over his honor and is not above retreating from an otherwise unfinished battle (despite being shamed or openly mocked by an opponent) if it was for the sake of the greater good. He also does not seem to hesitate from encouraging others to do likewise for a similar cause, often encouraging the students to their own and fellow student’s safety above any glory-seeking or retribution. Although Jinbe is normally calm and collected most of the time, he does have a humorous side and can occasionally provoked into giving reactions at the unique situations that often occur in Lunaville. Not interested in dating.
Jake B. Parker (Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse) - The Science teacher for Grimoire University, father of Mayday Parker and a former adventurer. Has the same powers as Miles Morales and several others. Originally heavily famous after becoming an adventurer at a young age in order to make his uncle’s memory proud, Jake eventually burned out from the constant risks, endangerment and loss of those he had made friends with over the years. As such, he fell into a depressed rut that heavily affected him for quite some years, to the point of him even divorcing his wife to keep her safe. However, after retiring, going to therapy and starting anew, Jake has turned a new leaf and is genuinely enjoying life again. He even remarried his wife and had a daughter with her. Now, he’s hoping to help his students understand that support and being around those you love is very important to ensure the troubles and dark side of life don’t always get you down. Straight, happily married.
Chitose Mihara (Chobits) - Wife of Ichiro Mihara, mother of the Mihara daughters, and groundskeeper at Grimoire University. Has no magic. A kind, caring and gentle woman, Chitose is very open-minded due to her husband’s work, as well as the fact that said work gave them their beloved daughters. As a result of her gaining her children through what is considered a usually unorthodox situation, Chitose does not judge on how different or unique a family may appear. Of course, she only gets involved if she believes there is genuine concern to be had. Nevertheless, Chitose is well-loved by all of campus, and many students avoid upsetting her primarily due to not wanting her to be disappointed in them. She’s particularly caring towards Chi and Hideaki, due to one being her daughter of course, and the other because he makes said daughter so happy. In her spare-time, Chitose paints and makes children's storybooks. Happily married to Ichiro Mihara.
Ren Hojo (Fatal Frame) - Member of the Grimoire University Staff, being the staff member in charge of the photography club, due to having vast knowledge about the subject as well as being an author…though his books aren’t doing so well. Messy and horrible with household chores, Ren is thankful for Rui’s presence in his life, even when they argue about where she moves things. Ren is actually a descendant of a brilliant occult philosopher and scientist, Dr. Kunihiko Asou, who lived during the time where foreign countries were coming and sharing their technologies with each other. He used this opportunity to begin the creation of what is called “Mystical Science” today, determined to provide undeniable truth about the spirit world’s existence. Ren is just trying to make ends meet nowadays, and would have preferred to not have inherited the ghost camera his ancestor left behind, but if his author career keeps going downhill, maybe he could go into ghost hunting. Has an ambiguous relationship with his assistant Rui, but firmly says that nothing would happening until she graduates, if anything does ever happen.
Professor Derek Knight (Monsters University) - History 101 Professor at Grimoire University, and a demon. Has no magic. A fair but firm teacher, Derek puts great emphasis on the importance of history, and how knowing it can be useful to prevent tragedies or even recreate miracles. He wants to make sure his students are well-educated and are fully ready to face the world, he therefore commends those who work hard and looks down on those who don't utilize what they have to the best of their ability. Still, regardless, Derek will do what he can for his students to help them get as far as possible in life. He’s known Headmistress Hardscrabble since their student days, and it’s surprising to most how close they are at times. Straight.
Shota Aizawa (My Hero Academia) - Homeroom Professor at Grimoire University. Has the power to cancel people’s powers and magics with his eyes.Shota is a very stern and reserved man who has lofty expectations of his students. He is primarily motivated by logic and does not believe in the necessity to maintain a clean-cut appearance or filter his words or ideas for others. He often comes off as cold, apathetic, and impatient, exerting very little energy in most situations, preferring to take naps in his sleeping bag instead. As a teacher with notoriously high expectations, Shota is rumored to expel students who he feels are not suited for Grimoire University. There’s no particular truth behind this statement, considering all the students he’s said to have “expelled” are full-on students and several are even graduates of the college. Frankly, the rest of the staff think he lets the rumor go around because he enjoys scaring the heck out of unsuspecting students. He and Hizashi, Arcane’s second-year homeroom teacher, have known each ever since they were beginning students at Arcane themselves. Demiromantic Asexual.
Magic Brooms (Fantasia) - Enchanted sentient brooms that work as the janitors for Grimoire University. The main taskforce of the janitors for the college, they’re seen everywhere keeping the campus shining clean. From cleaning the floors and walls, to sweeping the walkways outside, the brooms do it all. While they are very good at their jobs, they do have a bad habit of being overzealous and going too far with the cleaning, as well as being mischievous, so when the two combine, nothing is quite safe. Fortunately, when Headmistress Hardscrabble orders them to stop messing around, they are very quick to comply and behave…for a few weeks to months.
From cleaning the floors and walls, to sweeping the walkways outside, the brooms do it all. Fortunately, when Headmistress Hardscrabble orders them to stop messing around, they are very quick to comply and behave…for a few weeks to months.
Yase Douji (Kyousogiga/Crusadermon from Digimon) - Shapeshifting 101 Professor for Grimoire University, as well as the oldest daughter of the Otona Family. A socialite who greatly enjoys tea parties, Yase may appear like a pretty young lady who wouldn’t hurt a fly, but in truth, she’s prone to shapeshifting at the drop of a dime when irritated or angered. While she has immense control over her transformations and temperament regardless of her form, the days when she was a student herself are a whole other story…though she hates when people bring those times up. While often arguing with her brothers and even little sister, Yase still loves them and wants them to be happy, so she nags at the men to get out more and actually live a little outside of the shrine and scolds Koto when she doesn’t stop getting into trouble, often complaining that it’s like she’s the only one thinking in the family, since their parents often let them do what they want within reason. Was apparently married at some point, hence her different last name, but literally no one has ever seen, met or even heard of her ex-partner, even when they were married, so people wonder. Not interested in dating at the moment.
Mr. Champloo (Disgaea) - Home Ec Teacher and Head Cafeteria Chef for Grimoire University. A demon with no magic but can apparently appear out of nowhere. He has strong faith in his cooking and his heart; he'll show up suddenly in front of others, make a proclamation, and disappear like smoke. He often gives good advice, but because he frequently uses cooking metaphors, a lot of what he says is ambiguous or cryptic. He also cares for the well being of Salvatore as he is often seen talking to her about what's going on and making sure she eats, though Salvatore, much like everyone else, always wonders how the heck he manages to sneak up on her. He dislikes cooking without heart or those who waste food. He often gives out ridiculous out-of-world strange punishments to students who fail his class or tests, and people sometimes wonder how he even got a job teaching in the first place.
Salvatore Magnifique (Disgaea) - Head of Security and the Discipline Committee of Grimoire University. Demon with gun magic. A military-like woman with no regard for things typically regarded as “weak”, Salvatore is known for her near ruthless and merciless way of commanding the security force guarding the university, such as giving out absurd orders or even making sudden training trips for the whole force, which obviously can be a problem at times. Frankly, people wonder about how exactly she got her position, but when an intruder tries to cause trouble or hurt anyone at the university, many quickly remember why. While she may appear cold, ruthless and uncaring at times, Salvatore takes her job as head of security seriously and won’t tolerate any threat to the university or its residents, no matter who they are. Because of this, though they get annoyed at times, Salvatore has the respect of her men no matter what. She respects those who are stronger than her, and as such, respects Headmistress Hardscrabble and the other Headmistresses immensely. Not interested in dating.
Christo (Disgaea) - One of the Librarians for the Grimoire University Campus Library. Supposedly a demon with light magic. Christo comes from a noble family of demons who he left behind to join a group of adventurers in the past and even took a big threat with them. Of course, the spirits and ‘older’ members of the town are fully aware that isn’t the full story. Christo keeps his past under tight wrap, and doesn’t share anything about it with anyone besides the guardians of the town, such as Kuro, Nyanko and Mushu. He has a history with college from a long time ago, and frankly, it’s surprising to some people what kind of connections he has in the first place. He apparently had a falling out with his ‘family’ upon becoming an adventurer, and still remains bitter about it to this day, often grumbling about “high and mighty buffoons” when asked. Not interested in dating at the moment.
Onluka (Mugen Souls) - One of the Librarians for the Grimoire University Campus Library. Demon with book magic. A demon who has been around for quite some time and has even been working at the university before the previous headmaster of the college took office. She treats everyone fairly and understands multiple sides of conflicts which makes Onluka very difficult to communicate with since she never gives a straight answer or opinion. It may be a coincidence that her name is a play on the word "onlooker" since she acts as a spectator and allows things to run it's natural course. Even though her appearance may seem very young, she claims herself as being elderly and speaks like an old woman. She enjoys drinking tea and reading her books, though she has no problems helping students find certain books for research or other reasoning. Aroace.
Albus Silva (Grimoire of Zero) - Vice-Headmistress of Grimoire University. Has memory manipulation magic. The granddaughter of Sorena Silva, who was once a member of the Magic Council, Albus hsa grown up aware of the weight placed upon her shoulders as her grandmother’s only living relative, having lost her parents as a baby to a witch hunt, which robbed Sorena of her dear daughter. Nevertheless, Albus was raised with love and care by her grandmother, and has sought to uphold Sorena’s legacy since she was a young girl. While she has no plans to take a seat on the council, Albus instead thrives in guiding and teaching the next generations as time marches forward. While hard-working and serious when needed, Albus can be carefree and mischievous at times, especially when it comes to Holdem. She is an old friend of Zero Lutum and her husband, Tsuyoshi, having traveled with them during her younger days. Bisexual.
Holdem (Grimoire of Zero) - A wolf anthro who once served Sorena as her bodyguard and now does the same for Albus. Has no magic. Originally a knight from a noble family, Holdem ran away during his teenage years due to being caught in a relationship he hadn’t seen going south until it was too late. Preferring to run away and travel the world rather than being caught up in something he had just wanted to enjoy for the time it was present, Holdem was taken in by Sorena when Albus was a kid, and hired to be her bodyguard,..though it was more like being Albus’s babysitter since Sorena hadn’t really needed guarding. After Sorena’s passing, Holdem took the position of bodyguard seriously and has kept Albus safe from everything he could. While sometimes cocky and full of himself, Holdem is compassionate and will respect those who are strong and willing to help others. His and Albus’s relationship is rather ambiguous, though some townspeople speculate on whether they’ll find out the two are together by spotting them on a date or hearing about a wedding date. Straight.
Wolf Pack (Star Wars: Clone Wars) - Security guards for the University, and clones. Most of them have no magic, but a few have their own powers. A brother squadron to the 501st and 212th, and made for the same purpose, the Wolf Pack chose their squadron’s name for the fact that they work together much like an actual wolf pack…as well as their ability to track down any intruders or troublemakers. They were one of the quickest to adapt to being around non-clones, and are rather comfortable in their own way with the staff and college students. The leading commander, Wolffe and some others were actually deployed prior to the council stepping in, and as a result, Wolffe has a prosthetic eye and the Wolf Pack is smaller than some of the squadrons, hence the need for other members of security. Much like the other clone squadrons, some clones often look like they’re debating on adopting some of the students or asking to be added to the family.
Fran Papillon (Elaina: The Wandering Witch) - Astrology Professor at Grimoire University, and a former adventurer known as the “Stardust Witch”. Has star magic. Often elated, jocular, and carefree woman, Fran is a firm but fair teacher who does her best to ensure her students make use of their full potential. However, she does have a bad habit of accidentally going too far at times, having even made one of her students, who happened to be Elaina, burst into such a massive fit of tears that made her immediately frantic, doing what she could to apologize and get her student to stop crying, and earned her the ire of her fellow staff members for quite some time, much to her embarrassment. Fortunately, Fran was able to talk things out with both Elaina and the counselors so she understands what not to do in the future, and is genuinely remorseful about the length she went in her attempts to bring out the best in Elaina. Lesbian.
Suigintou (Rozen Maiden) - A spirit that dwells inside the body of a doll and one of the daughters of Silky and her husband, being the oldest. Works as an assistant caretaker for the university alongside the groundskeeper. Has feather and fire magic. Suigintou is the most aggressive daughter Silky has raised, being sadistic, spiteful and arrogant. Though she often quarrels with her sisters because of her personality, Suigintou is considered to be greatly like her mother in the fact that she is forever loyal to those she cares about and will guard them with her life. Suigintou deeply cares for her sisters and only wants them to be safe and happy, even when they’re all angry with each other. She hates disappointing her parents, Silky especially, and often does her best to avoid quarreling with others too often…though the success rate is up for debate. Not interested in dating.
Kirakishou (Rozen Maiden) - A spirit that dwells inside the body of a doll and one of the daughters of Silky and her husband, being the very youngest despite her looks. Has plant magic and works as an assistant caretaker for the university alongside the groundskeeper. Kirakishou is considered the strangest of her sisters, known for repeating what others say and often simply going along with what her sisters ask of her, no matter how strange or bizarre the request. People believe it is because of her young age and still forming personality that things are this way, and why when near Silky, her mother is reluctant to let Kirakishou out of her sight at all. Still, a child only learns by exploring and experience the world around her, so Silky sent Kirakishou with her eldest, trusting that Suigintou would keep their youngest safe, a job the older doll takes very seriously. Not interested in dating.
Yae Takemi (Persona 5) - Nurse at Grimoire University who is rumored to have worked as a back-alley doctor at some point. Has toxic magic. Takemi is a somewhat eccentric young woman. She dresses like a punk and has a morbid sense of humor, reacting with glee when she manages to convince a student to take one of her medications, which are known for being…unique, to put it politely. She has a reputation as the “Plague” due to an unfortunate turn of events that ended up causing her to leave the professional medical world some years ago that was cleared up when she was hired, and because of this reputation, highly cynical in regards to other’s intentions and meanings. Despite her dark sense of humor, Takemi is nevertheless a very kind and caring person, as one would expect from a doctor. When dealing with students, she is professional and caring, doing what she can to help them during their stay in the infirmary. She’s particularly fond of Hu Tao, who has never once cared about her reputation or morbid humor. Bisexual.
Java (Martin Mystery) - Janitor at Grimoire University. Has super strength. A strong lover of lizards and spiders, Java fears cats, heights, and technology, due to growing up in a place where technology was…not the highest priority for it’s inhabitants. Due to being a foreigner, his English isn’t the best and rather simplistic, but just because he struggles with English doesn’t mean he’s not intelligent, and Java for thinking "outside the box", which greatly helps in keeping the college campus clean. Because he dislikes technology and has a fear of it, Java gets along well with the magic brooms and is able to keep things nice and neat with their help. When there’s nothing to clean, he helps out in the college cafeteria. Straight.
Straight.
