Hu Tao hummed in understanding, nodding her head. If it's from a bad experience, then it's completely understandable how Ying didn't like dogs. He probably should have gone to therapy for it, so he could at least manage daily life if he saw one, depending on his reaction, but considering it wasn't really her place to butt in...Hu Tao pushed the thought aside and let it float along, likely to never come back.
She was often like that, swiftly moving from on things and going into completely different topics. Her grandfather had laughed and said it was part of her charm when she was little.
"Yeah, would hate to lose a fellow prankster before I got the chance to work with him." Hu Tao grinned, leaning down to get a better look at the marker cap. Things usually get a little lost in this place, so finding the cap wasn't too big of a deal...not that she would tell Ying that. The kid needed to figure out some things on his own. She snickered as Ying joked about if it had been a personal item lost.
The diener tilted her head, a cunning look forming in her eyes as Ying asked whether she had dealt with ghosts before. "Oh, plenty! There's pretty much one everyday!" She grinned, slowly lifting a finger to point behind the boy's shoulder, where a familiar goofy little ghost formed in a small burst of flame, giggling. "Like right now, behind you."
Oh, what perfect timing her little 'assistant' had. Ying's reaction was going to be FUN to see.

Ying nods in agreement he hates to not work with her before he had a chance. An he was also was glad to know that Hu Tao was understanding in his fear of dogs, as some people have found him odd in thinking that due to his high energy and friendly demeanor he would love dogs and maybe own one. That he would tell people he would rather eat rotting oatmeal for the rest of his life, then be near a dog. Hey there are times where he chooses to throw himself off a out a window if he saw the head master in her dog form. Yeah it wasnt his best moment. He shoves those memories aside for now.
"Exactly! With our combined pranking ability who knows what we can do." Ying smiles at all the possiblities the can do together. He figures he can learn so much from her even know his pretty sure she's not that much older then him, and he smiles a little hearing her snicker a little at him.
Then he sees her titling her head a little at him and felt a twing of excitement hearing that there are ghost here. He starts to smirk a little in excitement, seeing this is so cool knowing there are ghosts here almost daily! He wanted to almost yell for the ghost to come out and show themselves. Then he turns an hears her say theres one behind him.
"Really?!" Ying says almost too excitedly as he turns his head to see the ghost and he was amazed seeing a small goofy but adorable little ghost was behind as a small burst of fire. "Cool... Wait have they been here this whole time?" Ying was curious seeing if the ghost has just be watching them this whole time or just came now. He now has like a million questions running through his head.

Hu Tao pouted a bit as the ghost gleefully flew around Ying's head. "Aaaw, I was hoping for a scream, at least..." Her little assistant, lovingly named Boo Tao, flew around the morgue, poking and prodding at things that were particularly shiny or interesting. Typical of a spirit that was some form of feline in life, she supposed.
"He just popped out now, actually. He doesn't usually just hang around." The older woman explained, delicately catching the tip of Boo Tao's tail as he flew passed her, holding him in place with a snicker as he struggled to get away and continue his exploring. There was a reason he didn't often pop out too much, and it was Hu Tao loving to tease him.
"Ying, meet Boo Tao, my little ghostly helper! Isn't he the cutest?" Hu Tao smiled, dragging the small ghost to let Ying get a closer look at him. "Careful, though. When I summon a spirit or they pop out on their own, they get a little...spicy." As if to demonstrate, Boo Tao let out a small flame from his mouth, so small it didn't even hold the slightest threat of warming the teenager's skin.

Ying chuckles at how Hu expected him to yell in fear when seeing the little ghost. Frankly, he's seen enough horror movies and creepy novels/mangas for him not to be scared easily. “Sorry Boss lady, but this guy doesn't scare so easily. So I wish you luck on that venture.” Ying chuckles as he told her that. And watches as the ghost flies around as Hu Tao then catches him from the tail of his ghost body.
He learns that the ghost doesn't normally hang around and just at times appears randomly. Which doesn't surprise him the ghost seemed like such a playful little thing. He could get used to it. Ying then hears Hu Tao introduce the ghost to him, hearing its name is Boo Tao. “Aww, that’s a cute name.” Ying agreeing that the creature is adorable.
Then raises his brow a bit when she said that ghost that appears near her or that she summons on her own is spicy. He was about to ask what she meant when he got the answer he wanted when he saw Boo Tao burp a little flame from its mouth. He was amazed and smiles.
“That so so cool! Can I feed him spicy food?” Ying was curious and smiles as he loves to share his love of spicy food and was interested to see if he can share it with the little ghost.

Hu Tao smirked, determined glint shining in her eyes. "Oh, you can bet that I'll get you one day, you little troublemaker. Just you wait." It was not only a matter of pride, but sheer curiosity that Hu Tao vow to scare Ying one day. After all, it was always exciting to find out how far one can go with a prank on someone that doesn't scare.
She'd have to make sure she didn't cross the fine line of fun pranks or pranks that could seriously harm someone, though. It was always important to keep said line in mind when planning on causing chaos. Anyways, putting that aside, Hu Tao grinned upon hearing Ying compliment the ghost's name.
"I know! He's my helpful little assistant, so I had to give him a matching name!" She bragged, clearly proud of basically naming a ghost after herself. Some people might claim it to be unoriginal, but the ghost liked it, so ha!
"Oh you can, no doubt about that. Fair warning though, he turns into a flamethrower, flames and spices go together really well." Hu Tao nonchalantly said, releasing Boo Tao to let him return to his wandering. The small ghost cackled and swooped around Ying in small circles for a moment before hovering over a table full of work utensils.

Ying chuckles seeing how she will make him scared. The only thing he could see that happening is if she turned Zhan into a dog. That thought cause him to feel shivers down his spine for a second. He didn't want to think of that ever happen at all.
He then hears that Boo Tao sometimes helps here in the morgue. He wonders what this little guy does. “Really? What does he help with that I can't do?” Ying was curious at that thought. Sure he can imagine the ghost was helpful with a lot of things. Though he honestly couldn't any at the moment but he figures that I'll come to him.
Then he hears the fact that Boo Tao can become a flame thrower and he smiles at that. Seeing he now wants to a flame off with Boo Tao and his buddy Nastu. With of course the proper safety precautions. “Is there any possible way I could borrow him? I promise is not to commute arson or set a the school on fire to get out of a test or detention. ” Ying holding his hands up defensively knowing if he asked that of someone who knew him better they would immediately start questioning him. And he figures he might as well cover his bases now.
“Its just for a little... Experiment I just now thought of.” Ying honestly telling the older woman his intentions of Boo Tao. He honestly didn't want to bring any harm to you little ghost, as it seems harmless and sweet.

"Oh, not really a morgue assistant, more like...he's my little pranking buddy!" Hu Tao explained, watching Boo Tao as he messed around with equipment and tools. He usually didn't fool around too much, but being the curious little thing he is, Boo Tao tended to sometimes get into trouble she didn't want him to.
Take now for example. Seeing the ghost pick up a scalpel and start waving it around, the diener quickly walked over and confiscated it from him. "Ah-ah! No scalpels! Last time I let you mess around with those, all the poor stuffed animals in the gift shop were cut open!" Hu Tao scolded, wagging a finger at the ghost as she put the scalpel back down in it's proper place.
Shirayuki had been really upset about it, but thankfully, one of the nurses on duty at the time knew how to sew really well, so no really harm was done in the end. Still, she AND Boo Tao got one hell of a scolding, and Hu Tao did not want a repeat.
Hu Tao, hearing Ying's request of borrowing Boo Tao for an "experiment", turned and looked at him with a raised brow. "As a fellow prankster, you think I don't know what you mean by 'experiment'?" For a brief moment, she stared the teenager down with a stern look before grinning widely. "Sure, go ahead! As long as you swear, no arson, no getting caught by the cops OR ratting out where you got him."
Obviously, the police would know immediately where Boo Tao came from, but she could just say he wandered off with Ying on his own. She ain't getting arrested for arson, her mother would have her head if she caught wind of it. And Hu Tao liked her head where it was!

Ying nods seeing the ghost is just a pranking buddy, a small part of him felt relieved to see that the ghost doesnt really do any help besides pranking with Hu Tao. It takes him a moment to realize the little ghost going for the equiment and starts waving a scalpel around like a kid waving a sword around. He was concerned that Boo Tao obviously didnt know the dangers that could cause to other people. Then hears what Hu Tao scold the little thing and mention how he opened all the stuffed animals in the gift shop...
"Oh god... The horror show, his a plushy murderer." Ying teases a little but could imagine if a little kid saw a ghost cut open a stuffed animal, he wont lie that sounded kinda tramatizing. He then starts to think maybe if the little guy wants something to play with he could bring it some toy to distract it/bribe it if necessary. Now he wishes he brought his backpack as he was sure there woudl be something in there to keep the little ghost busy.
Ying then turns back to see Hu Tao making it obvious that she knows what he meant by 'expiriment' he chuckles and sees its obivous he wasnt gonna get away with lying with her. Seeing it was clear she is a more experienced prankster then he is, and knows a hell raiser when seeing one. "Deal! An I promise no arson, last thing I want is to hurt someone. I only plan to scare them." Ying smiles a little at that fact and then a thought came to him. He pulls out his phone to see if Boo Tao was able to appear in it.
"Oh I have to at least see if I can take a picture of Boo Tao and send it to my sister friends and my man." Ying smirks knowing that they would find the little guy adorable. Espically his sister, Ying knew she loved cute things and this was definitly a cute thing.

"He really is. Not a single plushie was spared." Hu Tao snickered, obviously joking. She then nodded in understanding at hearing Ying's explanation for him needing to borrow her ghost assistant.
Grabbing Boo Tao by the tail, she gently dragged the ghost to dangle in front of her face. "Now, are we going to behave for once, or am I going to stop giving you treats for a while?"
The ultimatum of Boo Tao's undead life, if his shocked expression was any indication. Hu Tao had created a special little treat for him, which she called "Ghostie Toasties", small marshmallow-like pieces of various candies and foods, magically created through a machine Hu Tao had ordered some years back. All her spirits adored these treats, but Boo Tao was the biggest fan of them, and he was heartbroken every time she didn't give him one.
Frantically nodding, and squeaking, Boo Tao seemed to promise he would behave. "Good little ghostie." Hu Tao smiled, releasing his tail to pet him on the head. She then nudged Boo Tail to pose in front of Ying. "Now, let our new minion take a picture of you!"
Upon hearing the word picture, Boo Tao immediately began posing cutely, smiling at Ying as he switched poses every few moments.

Ying made a mental note to ask the Hu tao what Boo has for treats. He would like to treat the little ghost when he can and knowing what the ghost likes as treats would help him in the long run. Because for once he can be the one to spoil people and he figures undead spirits would be great to have on his side.
"And Perfect! I think 15 photos are enough for now." Ying smiles as he took about every pose that Boo Tao gave him and he immediately starts to send the photos to his friends, siblings, and boyfriend with the message of, 'Meet my new coworker.' Tagged with the photos he took of Boo Tao. Ying smirks and sees Zhan already responding.
Ying chuckles seeing his boyfriend's response to the photos. "Oh, Zhan... Always taking things too seriously." Ying mutters as he looks as Zhan messaged back, 'So you got the job? If you didn't and you're just messing around I would appreciate it if you stayed focused on the interview... Also, important note, don't raise the dead.' Ying just couldn't help but smile at the message thinking it was just kinda funny. Ying then looks over to Hu Tao.
"Want me to send this to ya?" Ying asked the older woman if she wanted him to message any of the photos of the cute ghost to her. He also figured they'd be exchanging numbers anyway when he got the job, so that way she could get in contact with him when she needs him. He then felt a cold shiver just rush down his spine he figures it's just the lack of a jacket in this room is why he got a little chilly. Which make sense he then move closer to Boo sens the ghost can breath fire so he figures being near him would keep him warm.

Hu Tao snickered as Boo Tao swiftly departed to continue exploring the room upon hearing Ying say he had enough photos. She would have gone for 20, but eh, 15's not too bad.
Ying's phone received a text from Val, which said 'That is the most adorable ghost I have ever seen, what the heck. Also, don't follow it into a tunnel of light. I'm not helping Zhan drag you back if that ghost kidnaps you.' A typical response from the feline anthro.
Hu Tao hummed in thought before nodding when Ying asked if she wanted the photos sent to her. "Yeah, always good to have pics of the cutie on hand. My little brothers love seeing him in photos, so I can just shove these at them."
Ah, her beloved little imps of siblings, Hu Tao adored them so. They were the perfect prank apprentices and minions, their mother had already called her to scold her severeal times for influencing them so much.
Hu Tao pulled out her phone, opening her contacts and tapping the 'Add New Contact' button. "Tell me your number and I'll give you mine."

Ying chuckles seeing Val’s text about the ghost. He starts to text back. ‘Yeah! Though we both know if I actually did get kidnapped Zhan would most likely go on a murder spree… Your in charge of making sure he doesn’t actual do that though.’ Ying sends the message to his friend and looks over to Hu Tao.
“Alright my number is 415-XXX-XXX,” Ying shares his number to the older woman and smiles. And then hears she has some little brothers. He was kinda surprised to hear that she was an older sibling.
“So your the older sibling out of your family? Huh I would have thought you as an only child or younger sibling.” Ying states as he now just chills on of the examination tables.

Val texted back, replying, 'You're funny if you think I can hold him back.' It also had a rolling eye and laughing emoji.
Hu Tao input Ying's number under the contact name of "Minion Ying", and snapped close her phone. "Alrighty. Mine is 121--XXX-XXX. Feel free to put me in as Prank Overlord or other similar titles." She cackled, an adorable echo coming from Boo Tao as he finished his exploring, choosing to hover around the diener.
"Eeyup. The little brats, Hanako and Yugi, my first little minions and students in the way of pranks!" Hu Tao bragged, clearly proud of her siblings being able to cause as much chaos as she does. Boo Tao cooed happily, bouncing up and down in place at hearing the twin's names.
"They're being loveable menaces back home at their school! I'm so proud!" She fake-sniffled, wiping away a imagined tear of pride. Her mother definitely wasn't happy about it, though. Hu Tao was already foreseeing a call from her after work, once more complaning of her brother's mischief and some inquiries about she was doing so far from home.

Ying chuckles and goes to his phone's new contact button and start to put Hu Tao's numder in the phone and puts the name on the contact as, "Prankster Boss: Hu Tao." He smiles proudly and sends the imagines of the little ghost to her and places the his phone back in his pocket. He listens as she starts to tell him about her younger siblings and smiles. He starts to think of how her brothers remind him of himself and his brother Cheng when they were in middle school together before Ying found out of his powers. It made him think of some good times before then and all the funny pranks theyd pull together.
"They sound great! Reminds me of... Me and my brother." Ying smiles proudly without a hint of shame of being a michiviously little devil in his younger years and now. Though now Cheng was a bit more responisble and didn't pull as many pranks as they did which he understands. He knew Cheng was just preparing to take over theyre family's cafe in the future, so he wasnt entirely hurt by Cheng getting over pranks. His mind was now growing bored and he start to ask some curious question to himself.
"Soo... Do you summon any other ghost besides Boo Tao?" Ying was curious to see if she has summoned other spirits here or maybe a demon or two? He was almost tempted to buy and bring a oujia board to see if using one here would work. He couldnt help it, he gets bored and his curiousity sometimes gets the better of him and leads him to questionable ideas.

Hu Tao grinned upon receiving the pictures of Boo Tao, quickly sending them to her brother's phones with a text. "Newest minion is being useful to your addiction lol". Hanako's immediate response was various happy and excited emojis, while Yugi just sent a thumbs-up. Glad to see they approved!
Ah, she couldn't wait to be able to go home and visit them over the holidays! It was bad enough she was going to miss Hallowen, the funeral parlor was always decorated so colorfully for the spooky month!
Sending another text, "Talk to later!" with a ghost emoji, Hu Tao put her phone away. She glanced up at Ying saying he was reminded of himself and his brothers. "Oh, you were just much as a troublemaker back then as you are now?" Hu Tao, asked, plopping down in a nearby chair. "Good to know it wasn't just a teenager thing." She joked.
"Oh, I can summon a bunch! But they don't always answer or come out." Hu Tao explained. "It's all mutual understanding and trust I have going on with them. The only reason I can summon them is because they don't want to move on, so I figured I'd keep an eye on them, keep them company AND give them something to do! I also got pranking buddies, so it was a win all-around!"
"Ah, but just because I can make ghosts come out means you can play around with them!" Hu Tao said, wagging her finger. "Spirts and the like aren't to be messed with. They can be real dangerous if angered. Not to mention, I'll get angry too!"
Her entire family treated the deceased and their spirits respectfully, and it was always good to keep in mind that the dead should be afforded kindness and dignity just as much as the living.
