Ying was a bit relieved to see that he doesnt have to wake up as early as he feared on the weekends. Sure it was still early but nothing he couldn't handle, espcially seeing this could be the perfect excuse to try coffee. Even though his been told he has enough energy as it is, he still wants to try it. Then he glances seeing her mutter something though he figures it isnt really important so he choose to ignore it and focuses on the keys she has. Ying starts to wonder if he does get to work here will he be given his own keys. He smirks a bit at that thought seeing all the mischief he could get into if he had keys to the morgue, his mischievious thoughts lets to a mischievious smirk that he was unawarely making.
Then pulled back to reality as he notices Hu Tao pull out a body from on of the fridges. Although he couldn't really see the body he can still tell there was a clearly dead person in front of them. The sheet made a clear female outline, and once Ying heard the girl's backstory. His mind went to two places, it first went to sorrow for the girl hoping it wasn't a painful death, espcially sense she was so young probably around his age at best. The second place it went to was, 'I hope she wasnt one of those stupid influencer girls trying to take a risky self... Because that be a terrible way to go.' He wont lie the second thought was a little morbid, he just couldn't help but think of it.
"Thats just... Aweful..." Those were the only things Ying could really thinkg of to say about the girl. It's not like he knew her or anything. So just feeling bad for her was all he could do, he just hopes this doesnt happy to anyone he knows.

Because her back was turned, Hu Tao didn't see the smirk forming on Ying's face. Good thing, too, otherwise she might have smacked him, under the correct assumption he was planning something with the way he was looking at the keys. Hu Tao herself only had custody of the keys because the boss knew she would treat the dead respectfully.
"Yeah. Sounds like she was on a camping trip in the woods with some classmates when things went bad, and they all got spooked and ran off. She just headed towards a cliff in the dark." Hu Tao said, pushing the sheeted body back inside and locking the fridge door, muttering an old prayer from her family's funeral parlor for the poor girl's soul.
"As one must return to ashes, may your soul fly like a butterfly into the afterlife and dance among the flowers of the spirits." An old prayer passed down among her family, hoping for peace and joy in the afterlife. She wasn't really fully sure if this prayer helped or not...but it never hurt to offer it for the bodies she worked with.
"Alright, onto the next one. That is...a-ha! Over here!" Hu Tao exclaimed, doing a little hop-skip a few doors open and rummaging on the key ring she had for the correct key for the door she was looking for. This was one of the anthros, she believed.

Ying tilts his head a bit curious, wondering what was out in those woods that could have possibly scared these students and cause this tragity to happen. He made a mental note to maybe go monster hunting later in the woods...Just because his curiousity it definitly getting the best of him. Ying then watches as she shoves the body back into the fridge and listens to her pray.
He never heard a pray like that before but he shrugs seeing everyone has theyre own thing and he wasnt really gonna press for questions. Ying didnt feel like it was his place to ask her such a personal question espicially sense they just met so he figures he'll get plenty of time to ask her questions. He then follows her to another fridge door curious. "So need me to do anything?" Ying asked curiously as he follows her to where the next body was.
Not that he wasnt bored or anything but he felt like he should be doing something other then just following and watching her. He wont lie he was more of a hands on learner then a sit and listen type of person, so he was wanting to do something.

Hu Tao looked up at Ying, and tilted her head, noticing he seemed...restless. Ah, a hands-on learner, then? Okay, she can work with that. And with that though, Hu Tao tossed the marker and labels to him. "You can write down the information for the labels for me. I'll read it all out loud, you just write it down and hand it over."
She then pointed a somewhat stern finger at him, black manicured nail shiny in the fluorescent lighting of the morgue. "But DON'T mess it up, got it? It's important we treat the deceased with respect and dignity, and that includes all the information about them."
Hu Tao then swiftly turned to the fridge door, unlocking it with the proper key and then pulling it open, grabbing the handle on the table and pulling the body out. "You ready to start writing?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at the teenager with a smirk.

Ying sees Hu grab the marker and labels and toss them towards him. He smiles a little hearing that she letting him help a bit. So long as his respectful, which he obviously will be sense this is a person. No matter if they were dead or alive they should be treated with respect right now, Ying thought that to himself.
“Gotcha. Last thing I want is they’re spirit to come and haunt me.” Ying says to Hu Tao, slightly joking about the hauntings. But he didn’t want to risk any hauntings so he knew to take this seriously.
Ying pops the lid off the marker of as it lands somewhere on the floor. He shrugging he can find it late. An he looks over to the professional. “Alright, where do we start with this one?”

Hu Tao hummed as she looked over the paperwork for this particular body, skimming over it. "Alright, this one is...Tem Alpa, 20 years, born September 21st, 19XX. Lived in Kemono City, Japan. Graduated from Cherryton Academy 2 years ago. Looks like he was on a road trip with some old school buddies and got too close to a monster's lair, or an wild animal's den. Was found on the edge of the forest outskirts, mauled to death."
It was a horrible death, to be sure, but at the very least, he was still intact enough for them to just have to run his face through the database. Considering magic and technology, it wasn't surprise to learn most morgues connected their databases to each other to ensure any deceased would be properly identified, with all the deadly magic and monsters going around.
"You get all that, kid?" Hu Tao asked, looking at Ying. One would just think she was checking he was doing what she told him to, but Hu Tao was also monitoring his reaction to hearing these things. He could feel disgusted, disturbed and sorry for the poor souls, but he had to be able to power through it if he wanted this job.

Ying start jotting the information she's saying to him fast. He does his best to use his good hand writing not his sloppy note taking type of hand writing that only he can really read. He sees Hu Tao can somehow know all of the information on this person, it almost seemed creepy, and peeked his curiosity. Maybe he could ask her if he can use the database to look into something, a little personal... He mainly wanted to know about his parents deaths. He barely remembers them or how they'd die. He knows his aunt and uncle barely talk about his parents to him due to it being painful, but he cant help but still be curious.
Ying then pushes those thoughts to the side as he hears that this Tem got too close to a monster's lair and got mauled to death. He was kinda interested in see maybe this could be the same creature that caused the school girl to run off a cliff. Ying was about to ask if this guy was found in the same area as the girl just to confirm. But he felt like that might be too intrusive so he shuts his mouth for once, he can figure Val would be shocked to see him shut his own mouth. Then he hears Hu Tao ask him something. "Huh? Oh yeah! Got it all right here for ya..." Ying handing the finished label with all the appropriate information of the guy on it.
"Here ya go, HT." Ying attempting to give the slightly older woman in front a nickname and he won't lie. He already hated the nickname he gave her, he shakes his head as he hands her the label. "Actually please forget I attempted to give you a nickname."

Hu Tao raised an eyebrow at the, admittedly, horrible nickname Ying gave her as she took the label. "Alright. Listen, I don't mind nicknames, but that? Yeah, no, that one ain't gonna fly." Tying the label onto Tem's toe, she muttered another prayer and pushed the table back inside, locking the door up.
"You can call me things like Hu, or Tao, or even Boss or something like that, I don't really care. But HT? What am I, a vitamin? Nuh-uh." She rambled on, walking to the next door, inserting the key into the lock, turning it and then opening the door, pulling the body tray out. Glancing at the sticky note she put on the door earlier, if she remembered right, this one was...
"Claudia Hortensia, age 45, born in Fuyuki City in 19XX. Single mother, 22-year old daughter works in the hospital. Suffered from a terminal illness that, even with both magical and mundane treatments, only extended her lifespan a couple of years. Died just a few days ago." Hu Tao surmised, repeating another prayer for the woman. Her daughter, Caren, was a decent-enough woman, who took her job seriously for the most part. So, Hu Tao had kept an eye on the doctor for the past few days now, to see if she was doing alright.
Fortunately, Caren was coping well enough on her part. She must have made peace with her mother's death long ago, possibly even before becoming a medical practitioner.

Ying chuckles a little, seeing how she rambles on how awful the nickname he had given her was. He won't lie he was glad to not be the only talkative one around, as he has been told he tends to talk way too much and he doesnt really see how that's an issue though. So he chooses to ignore those people at times. "Got it, Hu, never ever call you HT again... Unless I feel like messing with you." Ying states with a playful smirk as he follows behind her.
"And you can call me many things like Ying, or Gamer Guy, Trister Genius, the Prank Master." Ying snickers at those self proclaim nicknames for himself. And then he starts thinking of actual names people call him. "Or as my brother calls me, 'his personal idiot', which in my opinion is very rude." Ying states as he follows her over to the next body tray. He immediately starts to copy the information that Hu Tao is giving him, as he finishes it he hands it over and he sighs. He won't lie he feels pretty bad for Caren. He can barely remember how it felt to lose his own mother since he was so young when they passed but he can only imagine the feeling of grief that wouldn't feel impossible to describe. Though he was glad to hear she had a less traumatic way of dying than the other two, residents, as Ying will refer to them here.
He hands the label to her once he finishes writing all the info, he couldn't help but wonder how the daughter is doing alright. "Um... How is her daughter holding up... If you don't mind me asking of course?" Ying asked curiously to his boss, though he was being genuine. He was even considering sending some condolence flowers, he can definitely pick them from the school and give them to her.

Hu Tao smirked and pointed a finger at the student playfully. "Watch it, kid. I'm the head honcho of messing around in this place, and I ain't gonna let just any prankster punk try to take that crown from me." She taunted mischievously. As the resident troublemaker in the hospital and previous prankster at the academy, she kinda took her pranking seriously.
"Kinda" being the keyword, as Hu Tao just considers herself a chaotic goblin that has no law-following morals to be found in herself. It was all for good fun and laughs. If it didn't make others laugh, she didn't see much point.
"Oh, personal idiot, I've heard that one before. One of the surgeons calls me that. Not my fault he keeps getting in the way of my raccoon battalion." She muttered. She was close to having one particular raccoon, Lord Moseby, be in charge of them, but Shirayuki practically begged her not to do anything. She just couldn't say no to her when she genuinely asked.
"Oh, Caren? She's doing alright, so far. Guess when you know how it's gonna end for a long time, you make peace with these kind of things really fast. She doesn't like people bringing it up or anything, and just wants to keep going. Admirable, in a way." Hu Tao said, carefully wrapping the label around Claudia's toe and returning the tray back inside the fridge.
Everyone dealt with grief and loss in their own ways, and Caren's was to just move on and continue forward. Hu Tao figured she'd probably cry at the funeral and spend a fair amount of time at her mother's grave in the graveyard, but most people did so. Death was apart of life, and nothing could change that. Best to mourn, accept it then move on with one's life then letting it linger in your mind, in her opinion.

Ying smirks at his elder seeing this as almost a challenge, a challenge he will gladly accept and win before the year ends. Ying can already plan some marvelous pranks to pull on the unsuspected workers and Hu. "Oh, is that a challenge? Then I'll gladly accept taking the crown from you." Ying smirks playfully always up for a prank battle especially if it means he cant get detention from it. So long as no one knew it was really him.
Ying has a few rules to his own pranking but the most important rule is never to do a prank that could either endanger someone, make someone cry, or hurt them in any way. He hates people who pull those types of pranks, he finds them awful and he can tell that Hu would agree with that. Ying hated the prank in Carrie he could find how anyone could find it funny or how anyone could even laugh at such a prank. He shakes that thought away and then hears her mutter something about a Raccon Battalion. That made him tilt his head in curiousness as he now has two questions.
"Raccoon Battalion? Two questions what exactly is your raccoon battalion and can I please borrow it?!" Ying asks asked a little excitedly as he may not know what that was but he wanted to borrow it to wreak havoc on the school and pronounce himself as the Raccoon King to all. He's been told he's like a raccoon in a way, so now he will have an army!
Ying also hears that Caren is doing good and he smiles a bit relieved to hear that. He decides to not press for more questions and then smirks, seeing maybe they could pull a little prank of whoever the boss man here is. It would be a great way to introduce himself, he then places the rest of the labels and capless marker down and perches himself on an examination table. "So... Hu? What time does the main boss guy get back? Because I got an idea for a little prank for him." Ying smirks at Hu a little.

Hu Tao laughed. "Good luck, kid. Looking forward to seeing you try." Hu Tao wouldn't necessarily mind if it was Ying who took her self-proclaimed crown from her. But she had both her own pride, and the general principle of the matter, to consider. She couldn't just hand over the title, it would be no fun!
She grinned upon seeing Ying obviously being excited. "Ah, yes, my Raccoon Battalion...I would gladly lend you it's services, for a fee...if it was actually existing at the moment." Hu Tao pouted. "My coworkers are no fun. Lord Moseby would be the perfect racoon to lead them into battle, but no, everyone says I shouldn't train or feed the raccoons."
Listen, they started it! She was minding her own business when they acted all cute, she had to feed them!
In the full truth of the matter, however, Hu Tao was just randomly struck by the idea of a raccoon batallion for pranks and chaos, and thus she started working on creating that very thing. Thus, the slowly increasing population of raccoons that hang around the hospital that tended to hang around the dumpsters in the back.
They didn't really care for anyone but Hu Tao, and an another member of the hospital staff, Snow. Not that Hu Tao blamed them, Snow was one of her favorites too.
The older woman blinked before snickering. "Ah, how I would love to prank him today. Sadly, though, not the best impression for you to make on him right now. You wanna impress him THEN let the chaos out when they can't get rid of you." She advised Ying, mock-wisely holding her finger up as if teaching a lecture. "You wait until the right moment to strike...and reap the chaos you've sown."

Ying smiles hearing her laugh, seeing she was accepting of Ying challenging her for the crown of the local prankster. He was excited to try any pranks on her when he starts his glad to find a kindrate spirit here, he loves being able to share is love of pranks with people. Like his friends and now this new person in his life. An it would be a great way to expand his idea of pranks with someone a bit more experieance then him. Then he hears her talking about how her raccoon Battalion doesnt exist, and he looks a little disappointed.
"Dang I was hoping to proclaim myself as the Raccoon king of the school... and maybe use them to remove any an all dogs from the campus..." Ying mutters the last part a bit as he knew some students had dogs as pets. To him that makes no sense to own a dog sense dogs are pure evil in his eyes. Then starts wondering who Lord Moseby is and shrugs assuming that's just her pet or something.
"In my opinion I just ignore them and give the raccoons the love they deserve." Ying states as he thinks the Raccoons would be great pets. And he then glances to the marker and he can already imagine if Zhan was hear searching for the marker cap that Ying had discarded somewhere on the floor. He moves to go look for it as he hears Hu explain that pranking her boss today would be a terrible idea. An he can see how that would consider a bad first impress.
"I guess your right... However I have been told I have a certain charm with people." Ying teases a little but he knew better then try and push his luck and possibly get fired before his even hired. and he goes back over to where he had left the marker cap. He crouches down to get a better look on the floor for it. A little annoyed he cant exactly spot it.

Hu Tao tilted her head. "Whatcha got against dogs? Just not a fan?" She asked. Typically, people liked dogs, didn't they? Then again, she knew some people who were definitely more cat people or, like herself, racoon people. Everyone had a thing, so maybe Ying's just wasn't dogs.
"But yeah, I ignore all the racoon hate, too. They're just like me, chaotic gremlins with a love for mischef and trash!" Hu Tao grinned. SHe was only half-joking about the trash part, considering she liked to rummage around in the forest for things that caught her eye. Law has, on multiple occasions, referred to her as a "goblin that wants anything shiny", and honestly, it was a bit of a compliment.
"Yeah, but my boss has been dealing with me since I started working here. He doesn't got the tolerance for a full-out prankster without a real warning." The older woman said, walking over to peer down at the student as he crouched down on the floor. "Did ya lose something?"
What a record, not even here an hour and already something's been lost.

Ying finds the marker cap under one of the examination tables and reaches for it and smirks once he grabs it and pulls it out from underneath and gets back up he then turns to see her head tilting and wondering what he has against dogs. "Well to keep it short... I had a very bad experience with dogs as a kid that left me both physically and mentally scarred by them." Ying tells the older woman the vague version of why he strongly dislikes dogs. He figures he can tell her more about himself as time goes on. Since they literally just met each other.
He smiles a bit glad to hear that she chooses to ignore the raccoon hate and chuckles a bit at how she described them. As he won't lie but that fits him pretty close to how he like as well, and he's pretty sure that's also how many people view him as well. He won't lie if he had a previous life, he would have believed he would have been a raccoon or something like that in a previous life if he had one. He then hears her talk about how her boss has a low tolerance for pull-out pranking. He figures he just stick to pretty harmless stuff like a little jump scare here or there, maybe a simple whoopie cushion. 'Yeah work my way up before doing hardcore pranking here.' Ying thinks a little to himself. "That's good to know. Don't want to piss him off just yet."
Then he remembers the marker cap and shows it in his hand. "Oh i was looking for the marker cap. Nothing that important... Unless it was my phone or backpack then everything would be a hellish mess for me searching for those things." Ying kinda jokes about how he would destory the place to look for his personal items if he were to misplace them here. He then just causally places the cap back on the marker. An around the pretty quiet morgue now. An now he had another question running through his mind.
"Hey Hu, have you ever had to deal with ghost here?" Ying tilts his head curiously to Hu Tao wondering if she ever had to dealt with such spirate or vengful entities in this place. Ying honest just was wondering is anything weird like that ever taken place in the morgue. Sure he heard online of hunted morgues, but he wanted to see if there could be any truth to that.
