Scarlet scrambled to hide, eventually ducking under the very same loveseat her sister had hidden under in the first round, but taking care that she wouldn't be seen.
Pauline chuckled, gently patting Cookie's silhouette underneath the blanket. It always made her happy to see the Pokemon playing together. Especially when it'd been a while since they had hung out together.
"...7...8...9...10!" Crimson called out, turning around. "Ready or not, here I come!" She immediately began sniffing for Scarlet's and Cookie's scents, carefully going through all the smells to find what she was looking for as she walked around the apartment.

Cookie was happy to see she got some good pats from Pauline. She was so happy to have her friends over but she can tell James is still tired from traveling back home. She sits patiently as she waits for her friends to find her.
James smiles and watches as Crimson starts to search for the other two pokemon. James loves seeing the Pokémon have fun, it always warms their heart to see that. James starts thinking of taking all the animals to the park tomorrow as a way to get them all good exercise. Then again James needs to search for some help first because ringing off all those animals alone would be more exhausting than anything.
“Hey Pauline... Know anyone who would be interested in working at the shelter?” James asked Pauline, they knew they needed the extra help.

Pauline hummed in thought as she thought over James question, watching as Crimson diligently searches for the other two, slowly heading towards them on the couch.
"I don't think there's been anyone in town that's really been looking, but perhaps some of the students would be willing to help out." The mayor suggested. She knew that a lot of the stores and other establishments in town were always willing to take on a student part-timer, besides, well, the bar and nightclub for understandable reasons.
As Pauline talked, Crimson had since looked up and spotted the weird little lump underneath the blanket between the humans and snuck up to Cookie's hidden form, pushing her head underneath the blanket to grin at the Eevee. "Found you!"

James nods seeing Pauline’s point. They decided they should make flyers this week and send them to the school to pass out the students so they know of some part time hire. Along with also spreading word to the new students and faculty that they can either foster or adopt a pet as well.
“Thats a good idea. I'll definitely-” James cuts themself off due to yawning a bit. But they're pretty sure the mayor knew what they were trying to say. James then chuckles a little seeing the Growlith has found the Eevee.
A cookie is a little sad she as found first gives a playful sigh of sadness. And pops her out from under the blanket.
“Shoot... I thought I could pass as a pillow.” Cookie jokes a little to her friend a little.

Pauline chuckled at both James and the two Pokemon, but nodded, finishing gathering up all their things. Just in time, too, they were approaching the end of the movie. "I can also put up some flyers at the city hall, if you want. If nothing else, it probably help the fostering and adoptions go up." She offered.
Crimson grinned. "You were close, but just a little too Eevee-shaped." She teased, before turning around. "Now, where's Scarlet?"

James smiles and was glad that they had such a good friend to help them in this way. Glad to see that she would share flyers around the mayor office seeing tons of people will most likely see and be interested in coming to the shelter. James hopes that it'll help get people to come an adopt and/or foster. "That would be great Pauline! Thanks, I really want to try and find more homes for the animals this year." James they were determined to make sure every pokemon and animal this year got a good home, they knew it might not be possible. But they were still gonna try!
Cookie smiles and follows Crimson to look for Scarlett now. "I guess I am too Eeven shaped... I blame the ears." Cookie mutters a little and sniffs for her friend a bit and looks around knowing there arent a huge aparment so she cant be hiding far. Cookie start looking under stuff.

Pauline and smiled, patting James' shoulder. "I'm sure you will, darling. Just make sure to take care of yourself, as well. Your health is just as important." She did her best to take her advice, but Pauline mostly used this type of advice for her dear friends, not wanting them to hurt themselves or get in over their heads.
Crimson giggled, sniffing around for her sister, slowly making her way to the loveseat she had previously hidden under earlier in the game, where Scarlet laid silently in wait. Eventually, the two Pokemon met at the love seat, and knowing there wasn't many other places to hide, they both shared a look and ducked down to peek underneath the seat.
For a moment, there seemed to be nothing...but then two eyes blinked open and a shape darted forward to tackle them, leading the three Pokemon into a roll, stopping near the couch. Scarlet, the attacker, stood atop the other two triumphantly, tail wagging. If she was going to be caught, it was going to be on her terms!
Crimson, too dizzy to yell at her sister, groaned a little.

James nods seeing Pauline does make a fair point. They did tend to go all out on certain things that they care for. Especially when it comes to Pokemon and animals. James remembers when they were in vet school they got very little sleep and that Jessies had to call and nag them into going to bed. They can still hear her telling her that she will not stop calling until he gets proper sleep. James won't lie they do occasionally fall back into that habit of not sleeping... Mainly when there is a sick and or injured Pokemon or animal around. It just keeps James on edge because of that. Then James lets out a huge yawn and sees the Deadpool end credits and clicks reaches for their DVD player remote to stop the movie so they can say goodbye to the Pokemon and their good friend.
“Thanks for coming over again Pauline. I know we both needed this moment to catch up and relax before the real chaos in town started.” James states and looks over and sees the Pokemon. It almost looked like a Growlithe and Eevee sandwich.
Cookie chuckles as she's and Crimson had tackled Scarlett and rolled around like a energic fluffy bouncy ball. As it ended with Scarlett on top of her, and Crimson underneath her. She shakes herself free and shoves Scarlett right off.
“We still found you miss copy cat.” Cookie teases as Scarlett had hidden in the same place her sister hid earlier in there game of hide and seek. She then hears James turning off the movie meaning it's about time to say they're goodbyes which did sadden her. But she knew James was pretty tired.

Pauline smiled as she gathered up her things, giving James a friendly kiss on the cheek. "Of course, darling. I'll see you around. Make sure to take care of yourself, now." She said, grabbing the leashes for the two Growlithes. "And if anything happens, I'm just a call away."
"I was the last to be found, though." Scarlet pointed out smugly. She didn't care about being called a copy-cat, because it was true, and it wasn't like it was a bad thing, considering at some point, they would have had to recycle hiding spots anyways.
"Besides, I thought of the spot, first!" Crimson bragged, smirking at her sister, who batted at her with a paw, making Crimson snicker.
"Girls, come along now. We have to go home and get ready for bed." Pauline called out to her Pokemon, who rushed over, allowing her to clip the leashes to their collars.

James gets up and looks over to their friend and gives a tired smile. James was happy that Pauline came by and so James opens their arms to hug her, glad to know she looking out for them as well. "I will lovely, I will... Just remember to do the same thing. If I know anything we are both workaholics." James states that were pretty true whenever that they aren't hanging out or at home Pauline is also very much a workaholic as James is. This is why they are also great friends they help each other not get too sucked into their work.
James knelt down and pats both the Growlithes and smiles at the girls. "Alright you two, don't drive your mom crazy when you two get home alright." James jokes a little at the two and picks up Cookie in their arms and smiles at the three a little. The Eevee snuggling into her owner's arms and waves at her friends from above in joy.
"Bye Crimson! Bye Scarlett! Let's play this in the park where they'll be more places to hide!" Cookie tells her friends as that would be more fun. Seeing there were trees, bushes, and playground equipment at the park that would make great hiding spots for them.

Pauline leaned in to return the hug, holding it for a brief minute before pulling away and patting James on the shoulder. "You've certainly got that right, love. We're hard workers." She joked, smiling and reach to scratch Cookie behind the ear once the Eevee was in her owner's arms.
"Cookie, darling, thank you for playing with the girls. I'll do my best to make sure we have a play-date soon." The mayor said, petting the Eevee's soft fur.
Crimson and Scarlet whined happily as James pet them, their tails wagging. "We're good girls, James! We always behave for Mama!" Scarlet said, her sister nodding before she looked up at Cookie.
"Bye-bye, Cookie! Really hope we'll see you again soon!" Crimson said, following behind Scarlet as the sisters headed over to their owner, who smiled and waved good-bye as she headed out the door.
"I'll call you sometime soon, James, and we can figure out a time for all of us to meet up, alright?" Pauline said.

James nods and watches as she does outside and waves from the door. And then a thought came to them and calls out to the mayor. “Text me when you three get home! Like to know my gals had a safe trip!” James calls out to the mayor. They like to know that after a hang out their gal pals got home safely after hanging out. It just made James feel good to know that theyre friends always got home safe, just that protective nature.
Cookies waves bye to them. She hopes to see them soon maybe when James walks them tomorrow. She then yawns and curls into James' arms. Just as James shuts and locks the door and smiles and locks the door and watches from their window to make sure Pauline drives off safely. Cookie then falls asleep into James' arms and James coos at the cute sight in they're arms.

Waving in both goodbye and acknowledgement of what they said, Pauline headed towards the parking lot, unlocking her car, settling her things and both Growlithes inside before hopping into the driver's seat. Inserting the key and turning on the engine, Pauline began the short drive home, peeking into to the back through the reverse mirror and smiling upon noticing the two Pokemon were dozing lightly.
Seems all the fun and excitement had them all tuckered out. She had a feeling they would sleep through the night. After a few minutes of driving, they pulled into their house's driveway. Pauline stepped out, and then gently coaxed Crimson and Scarlet awake enough for them to stumble their way into the house and into their comfortable petbeds in her room, as Pauline brought their things inside, locking both car and the house door.
Opening up her phone, Pauline sent a text to James. 'Made it home safe, hope to hang out with you again soon, darling.'

James had tucked cookie into her rainbow-shaped bed and places her favorite blanket on top of her. They smile watching the Eevee sleep peacefully. And as they climb into they're bed, James sees they phone go off. They smile seeing she got home and sent a quick text. ‘Great! Sweet dreams, my darling!’ James text back to her and yawns and turns off their light and fell straight to sleep.
They were glad to be back home and looks forward to seeing the other animals the next day.
